I just got one of theses for my bmw e60 525i without aux and installed it today. I am not getting any sound from the Android auto play. Only sound i have is from the original car radio. What do i need to do to get sound from the head unit?

Mine e60 523i facelift ,, lci” dont make that ….

The correct torque for the nut on the steering knuckle is 165nm, not 80nm. The latter is for the 4WD cars.

I don’t have aux or Bluetooth audio and after the install everything works perfectly just no sound.. Any suggestions?

I went to the dealer today and they told me that a new cap is around 60 euros and I just told myself hell no, I ain’t paying that much for a piece of plastic. Great tip on the gasket! I thought it was fixed to the cap!

If you turn the steering rack in until the 38mm nut is just protruding, the chance of bending the arm is lessened. You risk bending the arm with it fully extended and the nut is tight.

I learned in some other places that draining is not necessary. 1. Replace the tank. 2. Top up the coolant missing. 3. Bleed. 4. Keep bleeding or start the engine. Remove the return line while constantly adding your water to prevent running out, until you see clean water coming out of the return line. 5. Repeat the same procedure as above , this time adding coolant. Done ! Hope it helps someone. Cheers !.

Hello, I just found your video 👍 would you know what coding are available for 2024 X1 . I had 2023 x 1 but was returned as a lemon for many electronics issues I had all the my modes for about a year but on this new one after a software update I lost my modes left only with three and now I have to pay monthly fee which think is not right bit disappointed with bmw about that

I know this is an old thread but I could find no switchable fuses in the glovebox of my 2005 5 series e60. No 38 as suggested here is a constant live. Did anyone else have this problem and what alternative did they find. Otherwise a very instructive video. Many thanks

After reading all the comments about people doing this repair and still having the same problem with the aftermarket parts I’m going to just wait and get the OEM BMW part, I tried a few of the aftermarket parts and they are just junk they don’t slow the trunk opening down at all it’s just as bad as the old one

I just yesterday put android on my e60 Everything working But when I switch to old bmw screen is show only half screen Maybe you know why ?

Nice work, I have only just found your channel... Primary reason, mirror painting, I did my e63 drivers by removing, what a pain in the ass, I'll be doing the other side your way. I have just done the wheels on my wife's Alfa, God they were hammered. The best way to fill small imperfections I found is with a very small flat paint brush.. Keep up the great work. 👌

Folks, the 100 year old method is to remove the nut and sleeve, then use nail polish right on the spot where the arm meets the threads. LET IT DRY, then unscrew the old arm then screw the new one back to the nail polish line. You'll feel the resistance from it when you hit the right spot. Measuring or counting turns won't be as accurate.

Is it possible that I have the same problem on a BMW X1 F48? It only happens to me when I go forward from reverse and then lightly press the brake. After that, when I brake again, the sound is no longer heard. PLEASE HELP

My refill tube broke after I took it to an oil change shop, and I've been having to refill it(and change the pump) often. I figured I just kept leaking, but didn't think that the sensor could be bad too. Definitely going to remember this video in case the replacement tube doesn't solve my problems.

Great to the point video as usual. I have changed tailgate gas struts before on other cars but it was nice to double check the E60 bonnet struts were similar. Yeah the bottom clip can be fiddly. I got some febi 26057 ones for a good price on Amazon. Last time it’s going to blow down on me. It’s heavy for an aluminium bonnet.

BUYER BEWARE - GREASY ANNUAL SUBSCRIPTION - AUTO RENEWAL - NO NOTIFICATION I feel sad that I've had to write a negative review, but this company truly deserves it. I purchased a scanner and associated software app 1-year ago. The scanner was OK, I had a minor fault that I needed to diagnose, which it did. I cancelled the subscription on my phone app, but it turned out I also had concurrent subscription for another/parallel Carly App (THIS WAS NOT CLEAR), one direct to PayPal, the other through Google Play. The company asks to be informed 30-days before your renewal date to accept a cancellation. THEY DO NOT SEND A RENEWAL NOTIFICATION. I did cancel the contract (4-months before renewal, but it turns out this was for only one of the contracts). Then, I receive a notification that they've taken £60 for another years subs. I thought this would be simple to clear up, but their customer services team were less than helpful. They kept referring me to the T&Cs that I signed up to, and not acknowledging the fact that I (assumed) that I had cancelled the subscription (when someone tells you they're sorry to see you go, you kind of feel they did get the message). Anyway, they have told me I'm the one in the wrong, and it's tough luck (in so many words). This company is more than willing to damage it's reputation by treating existing customers unfairly. I am expecting to see a reply stating something along the lines of (our T&Cs were very clear at the time of signing up and are available on our website). Well, looking at the many complaints online, I think you may need to refine your messaging, because it isn't getting through to your most important asset, your customers.
