Yes folks, this was one heck of a Aussie supergroup as were all the other great lineups. Every show I saw in the early '80's was pure entertainment!. Great memories. RIP to the boys no longer with us.
I went to a flea market in the Bronx, NY and there was this hippie dude selling cd's and he had this one for only $1,00 dollar!!!!!!!!!!!! Turned out he had a lot of Kiss stuff!! I came away with a couple of mego dolls (Paul & Ace) a bunch of stickers, 7 Lp's and around 11 cd's, 4 of them bootlegs! Total spent?? Under $100, for real! You just never know what you will find in flea markets, Salvation Army shops, thrift stores, ETC. 11 years ago i found a Kiss Rock n Roll over tourbook in really good condition at the Salvation store on the upper westside of Manhattan. Price?? $1.50 I shit you not!!!!!! I gave the lady the $1.50 and i wanted to donate $20, but she said you got to do that online. When I got back to Europe i ended up donating clothes to the refugee centers instead. Sorry so long, just felt like sharing! Rock on!!!!!
Shirl was an absolute joy to have on board The Party Boys. He was such a great singer, a great man & great company on the road. This album featured seriously great guitar work from Robin Riley & Kevin Borich. It was recorded at St George's Sailing Club - Sans Souci, New South Wales. It was mixed by Engineer Spencer Lee at Alberts Studio in Sydney. There are no overdubs, that's exactly what the band did & how it sounded. The Drummer Graham Bidstrup from The Angels is one of my favourites to play with. All the very best to all the good people who came along to see us play, all the best Paul Christie, The Party Boys.
Thanks for uploading this whole album, I've been looking for it on iTunes & Spotify but no luck, so thanks again it's very much appreciated! BTW I honestly think this version of Foxy Lady is better than Jimi's & I love Hendrix but this has more grunt.
This is the one Party Boys album I never had and always wanted somehow I missed out, Never knew they did song I knew about Immigrant song and have that from their Greatest hits CD, someone needs to put a complete box set out on all the Party Boys releases, Shirl was one of the best singers be it in the PB or the Hooks or just solo.

Always said Shirl was AS good, (if not better than Robert Plant!) He COULD nail any Zep song! Heard him do Immigrant Song as well with the PB's, identical!
I remember sitting in home room in high school in 2004 talking with Judy in the seat next to me about this song. I heard it the previous day, and I told her about how I liked this rendition of this song so much. It's hard to believe it's been about 12 years already.
