A gorgeous day on the Elkhorn.

Trying out my brother's "faux pro" camera while kayaking on Matlache Pass, on Charlotte Harbor in southwest Florida. I was experimenting with a camera mount (consisting of ultra-high tech sponge and bungee cords) so the picture is just a little lopsided. Sorry!

I wanted to see if/how the horses would behave during the total eclipse. They did nothing. Nonetheless, the eclipse leaves me wordless so amazing. I'll admit I lost control at one point. . . .

This is a quick demonstration of the two versions of "weird posting" that I reference in my article. Thanks to Brianna Jaeger and Rembrandt for demonstrating (and making these exercises look easy!).

April 28, 2017. Consummate horseman and renowned clinician George Morris gives a hunter/jumper clinic at William Woods University in Fulton, Mo. In the first hour of Day One, it was all about classical flat work.

This guy's a hoot, and his horse is worth a bazillion dollars. I missed videoing the introduction Brett is narrating what the horse is thinking. This is a video from far away, taking on my smartphone. No complaints!

I'm pretty happy with the kittio (catio for kittens). Still some stuff to tweak.

Both kittens learned how to use the ramp within a few minutes. So exciting!

Day 4 of the feral kittens captivity. The antibiotics are doing wonders they're really starting to play now.

They are convinced they want to go out, until I open the window. Then, suddenly, they're not so sure. In better weather, I put a lexan insert, complete with cat flap, in the window, and the cats can use the catio as they please. In this horrible, horrible winter weather we've been having, I remove the insert and keep the window closed. The cats sit at the window and wish and wish they could go ...
