I'm not sure if you watched the entire lesson. Please read this whole comment. If you have any other questions, please contact us directly, as we do not go back and forth in comment sections. You CAN practice the fruits of the Spirit. You still are making individual choices each day, whether to get angry or remain calm (for example). When you have the Holy Spirit, it makes remaining calm a lot easier to do. At the end of the day, you still make the decision to operate in the fruits. Those who mind the things of the flesh, do the things of the flesh, and vice versa with the Spirit. That's what Romans 8 says. Also, 2Co 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 2Co 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) 2Co 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; We are literally warring, and actually picking sides as to if we are going to be in the spirit or not. We have to actively choose to cast down evil imaginations. So take it upon yourself and practice casting down those high thoughts of pride and replace it with meekness, casting down the thoughts of lust and replace it with temperance, etc... The Bible literally says, Rom 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Rom 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Jesus did his part, and we still have work to do. He strengthens us to be able to do it, because we CAN DO all things through Christ who strengthens us.
