Exploring abandoned St Mary church, Saxlingham Thorpe
Переглядів 2116 годин тому
St Mary, Saxlingham Thorpe Late winter is a good time to visit this ruin. Although the remains are substantial, including the greater part of the tower, it is entirely tree-surrounded, and once spring had brought the trees into leaf it would be impossible to photograph. A small church, as most are around here, it was abandoned in the late 17th Century, no obvious need being found for it as the ...

Exploring RAF Sculthorpe. The abandoned bits
Переглядів 5414 днів тому
RAF Sculthorpe Constructed in 1942 as a satellite for West Raynham. Like many bomber airfields in 1943/44 Sculthorpe was used for storage of Horsa troop carrying gliders. It passed over to the 100 Group in January 1944. Not much activity was seen here after mid 1944 other than storing the Horsa gliders. In the Autumn of 1944 work began to convert the airfield into a very heavy bomber base, runw...

Thetford Warren Lodge was probably built around 1400 by the Prior of Thetford. This defensible lodge protected gamekeepers and hunting parties against armed poachers. Much later used by the local ‘warreners’ who harvested rabbits here.

Hopefully you've got it sorted. Can't go wrong with EBC pads :), I found the HH rated ones on the front gave a more firmer braking feel. I get what you're saying about the rear brake, they are notoriously bad on the GPZ. My feedback for you, just keep doing what you do as long as you enjoy it. I'm sure some exploring would go down well. Mental health is something we should all be talking more about for sure!

Can't beat that new tyre feel. Not sure if they still make them, I used to swear by Michelin Street Pilots on my GPZ, they were fantastic in dry or wet and I'd easily get over 10k miles out of a pair. Great to see a GPZ 500 still on UA-cam! Also, congratulations on 100 subs!

My first bike after passing my test in '95 was one of these. I loved it at the time. Pothole app: You wouldn't have any time left over to concentrate on your driving, there are that many of them. I ride past that dealer (I think its the same one you refer to) on the way back from the bike nights at Fendicks Fishery. (Only a couple of times so far). Its BSA signs are very prominent.

I bought my Midnight Black version on the 1st of March 23 and paid £6800 + otr, their now on sale at £5500 + otr. The green one was 6500 and now is on sale at 4995. I love my bike but these offers are really hitting second hand prices. Visiting my dealer, now ex dealer after being messed about by BSA, this afternoon he told me the reason for discounting is because they ordered far more than they initially could sell and BSA are trying to shift this 2023 stock before winter.

I recognised the route. Local to me 👍 Thetford. I bought a TRK702 “Forest Green” a few months ago. Agreed it’s a good bike for the money BUT Euro 5 means it’s fuel mapping is not good between 2500-3500 rpm which is where you’d be in a 30 or 40 mph limit. Engine struggles and is very “jerky” in that range. Only advice from the dealer and MotoGB is to stay out of that rev range!!!! So 30 mph in 3rd gear it sounds like your revving the bike too much and need to go up into 4th but you daren’t. 40mph you should be in 4th but quite often have to stay in 5th all to stay out of the “jerky” zone. It ruins the experience of the bike totally 2 up touring the bike pulls very well.

That's exactly how I felt on my test ride. I ordered my Shadow Black edition two days later and it went in for it's first service last week. I've spent the last 30 years riding sportsbikes, so chalk and cheese, but the Gold Star is an absolute joy. That engine sound and torque is addictive, and I still can't stop smiling every time I open the throttle or look back over my shoulder after parking it up. Best £6k I ever spent!

I bought a Legacy Edition a couple of months ago, the first thing I changed were the shocks for a pair of fully shrouded Girling's, a great upgrade that suits the style of the bike. I also installed a TEC tail tidy, flyscreen, a dummy front registration plate with BSA on it, a TEC exhaust baffle, Stadium brand bar end mirrors, there will be more to follow. I love riding the BSA, it is well balanced, handles well and always put a huge grin on my face. I get noticed by car drivers and pedestrians wherever I go on the BSA. Thank you for your excellent review of the BSA Gold Star 650. Mine is a stablemate for my H-D Iron 883.

Subscribed and looking forward to seeing the SV progress :). Its such a brave thing to talk about your health let alone mental health to an invisible audience on the other side of a screen, so kudos to you. I've been making the odd videos the past year and just the process of talking to a camera and making videos has certainly been an odd experience for me (Especially after you share it to the world) but I've really enjoyed the creativity and 'diary' aspect to it. The building a community/connection with others in things we enjoy - knowing or not knowing the direction you will take it and seeing it evolve through a youtube channel is actually quite exciting and energising I find. Look forward to seeing your progress :D

I'm planning on doing mostly normal roads and every so often a bit of highway riding. Is it manageable on the highway? I know single cylinders aren't ideal for the highway but I wanted to know if there's like big problems at those speeds like crazy shaking or something like that. I have a car now that isn't meant really for highway riding and it shakes a lot at those speeds, but it's still manageable so I don't really mind. So my question is a bit similar to that, not the most comfortable but still manageable so it isn't actually dangerous on the highway.
