Duals going on. Grass getting chopped
Corn looks good up there this year. We just finished corn up the other day . Still have some grass to get 3rd and 4th. Thankfully it's been dry lately we didn't have to fight the mud and run dump wagons this year.
That’s great!
Is the pine cone still in business?
Yes. But closed for the fall and winter.
Nice work folks!! Great looking corn! Be safe.👍👍
Thank you. Been good so far
How many acres you guys farm and where about in Vermont ?
In several videos you refer to the King Road. I can't find that on any map. Does it have any other designation?
Vermont has several king roads
@@802Farmers Can you explain further? How did this come about?
Great start to the season good work to all
Thank you
Great video Andreas you can really see the different varietys at the test plot and the compaction issues that was had may need to look getting a inline ripper/subsoiler cause them can also help with where water lays and take out the compaction flooding does
We have talked about it. But it’s another thing to buy. Flooding added alot of complication to the land this year again.
That was awesome Andreas that is some fine corn you're chopping and the height of it is something else. You made a start on the test plots can you see a difference in the different varieties of corn that was planted I have to say you're videos are absolutely the best interesting and enjoyable to watch enjoyed every minute of it Looking forward to the next one Best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮
Thank you. Every variety looked a little bit different depending what you are looking at. Thanks you for watching!
@@802Farmers 👍
good job, jake brake sounds cool
Thank you 👍🏻
Great video, enjoy watching corn getting chopped. Question, what is the difference between feeding fresh chopped silage compared to fermented silage? Keep up the great work and videos. Take care and keep on farming.
Fermentation increases the digestibility of the feed dramatically. Also naturally happens as it’s stored in the bunks. Has many other benefits but that’s the biggest. Thanks for watching
Thanks for another great video, I started watching you last year when the video of the flood popped up. I like seeing different parts of the country and how it’s farmed. I now you live close to Canada, was wondering how it works when you go there for parts and repairs. How does that work as far as taxes/duties go? Thank you
Thank you for watching for a year now! It’s very smooth going up and down with parts. By them at the dealer and customs is pretty simple to get through. Bringing machines to the dealer to work only needs a couple papers filled out.
@@802Farmers thank you
Henry's segment was outstanding...what a dude. Can't wait for his next installment. Definitely a future content creator there. Love the videos.peace and love from Northern Ireland
Thank you! He’s a natural on the camera
did the new farm have any chopper or combining or mowing equipment?
Had a rake and mower. We sold both. Didn’t fit into our operation
Love Henry’s commentary!
He’s a camera man
You guys are doing a great job atthe new farm with all the other work going on
Trying our best 👍🏻
Henry! Great job done little man. Amazing content. Keep up the great work. 👌👌
Thank you for watching
Didn't you forget to record the end of feeding in the last video? Henry you de-man
Possibly. I don’t remember anymore
Do you guys use any bulls
I think Christoff is the bull of the barn around there!
Yes. A handful
🤣
Another awesome video Andreas but i think Henry is going to take over he done a great job he's full of life and energy I was wondering how many soil bunkers do you fill with grass silage and corn silage I liked you're explanation of the feed mixing adding water is new to me it's something we don't do here but it looks like a great job to bind the corn and silage together does it stop the cows from sorting out the grain and leaving the silage Really enjoyed the video as always looking forward to the next one Best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮
We do a bunch of bunks between the 3 farms. The main reason for water is to stop cows from sorting the grain from the silages 👍🏻
@@802Farmers Thank you 👍
How? Many cows. Are you guys milking at that new farm
200
That mixer looks like it works well
From what we see it’s doing a good job
Great video Henry 😊
He’s a natural
cool
Thanks for watching
Great video henry done a pretty good job recording
He loved the camera action
Awesome video and monologue from Henry!❤😂
Henry talked more than expected
Henry is the star of the show, what a happy and enthusiastic boy! When he does his thing, everyone watching will smile, I'm almost sure! All the best for the whole family and the farm, greetings from the Netherlands
He’s always happy and full of energy. Does love the farm life. Thanks for watching
Great team work
What’s the name of the farm?
Grew up 3a dairy farm in WI enjoying your videos where are you located
We are located in Vermont
Hay Dude’s,Edward from Enosburg, corn chopping looks like it’s in full till
Yes it is. Staying busy
Thanks for the video was great watching
Thanks for watching
Thanks for another great video. After only using a 2 row pull type chopper it amazing the volume of material those self propelled choppers can handle.
Thank you. Choppers have came a long ways
Loved the video. Also, how you include the kids is so awesome. Gives them a sense of importance, and they feel included . Great video, and have a safe harvest .
That was another awesome video Guy's love the chopping videos and thats some bunker of corn silage Marcus and Eava are two awesome kids their not afraid of to get stuck into work they had a right wagon for collecting the spilled over corn Really enjoyed the video as always looking forward to the next one Best wishes from Ireland 🇨🇮
Thank you! Gotta let them get involved young. They will grow up and learn a lot. Thanks for watching
@@802Farmers 👍
Don’t know if you want to say but how much milk per cow at each place? You guys put up really nice feed and do a good job
Not breaking any records. We are rationing our corn right now since the new farm. After harvest will go back to normal
Do you guys pay these drivers or are they just good friends. Thanks Guys
Some are employees. Some are neighbors and some are friends. In the end everyone loves helping during corn season
The 7290 is the only tractor on the farm that has good tires.
The 7290 is also the only tractor nobody likes to drive. Good tires since it’s low hours. When one front tire cost 2k and back tires can cost 3-5k a piece it’s not just a easy decision to slap some new tires on
good job
Thanks for watching
Christoph and Marcus are going to take your job as camera man
Might happen some day. 🤣
You move right along with that chopper!
It definitely can eat a lot of feed
choppers got a high pitched squeal almost sounds like a belt slip or a bearing failing I never heard that last year? only whenchopping
Haven’t found anything out of ordinary yet. Still could though. Thanks for watching
I'm a new subscriber - interesting channel and video 👍
Thanks for following along
I never had the patience to milk it was a bad seen when I milked, I steered clear of milking, I didn't have enough love for the cows that was the problem u love them they love u back...Great Vid 🐄🐄🐄🐄🌽🌽🌽🌽
Thanks for watching
Love your videos, especially when you get the kids involved. Michigan
Thank you. The kids love helping
It’s wonderful to watch the corn being harvested. It looks so peaceful . Great job.❤️❤️❤️👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
It’s the best time of the year. 👍🏻
Wheres the hill? Thats not steep
No really trying to do a whole has steeper field competition. It’s a steep hill to go on with fully loaded trucks. Gotta be careful not to roll over.
Whats beeping in that star?
I did mention in the video we don’t know what it is. We tried to figure it out. Once crops slow down it will go to a shop.
So where you are constantly driving the trucks over do you have to rip it or do a deep tillage in the fall for compaction?
We have always chisel plowed all our fields in the spring before planting to get rid of any compaction.
They were hockey sticks, I still have one . They were Northland Hockey Sticks!
Great video i would like to see some more video of the new farm from what i can see its nice and glad to see you guys notice the investment that you made with new planter and hopefully saw a seed saving
I try to but early morning videos are always a bit harder to make since it is dark. Yes the planter helped a lot with seed saving. Noticed after the first 100 acres planted.
Great video of choping corn and hauling. You all do a awesome job. Thanks for another great video.
