“Need some light” in the first verse was actually about going to the light aka she is saying she should jump from the building in mv (there is a lyric questioning this in the first verse saying “I don’t think I need some light”. Then in the change up lyrics is “I don’t want to be alive but I don’t want to die” so she is saying the only thing stopping her is the fear of death, but she would not make the choice of existence.

Lol the song is a reference to genesis the first book in the bible thats where "let there be light" comes from

Sorry about the people upset at you and being mean about not getting the theme of the song. Inside the lgbt community it's very clear and easy to get because it's something we usually go through, fall in love with a straight guy, and then some times some of them will even use you for convenience and pleasure but then just discard you. It's not an experience that those outside the community usually go through so your mind will try to understand it and make things fit. The closest thing a straight or sometimes even lesbian woman would understand, would be like a guy who will mess around with you, give you attention when he wants to do something, but never actually make it official or want to date you. So that version of the song would go something like, "Give me a call if you ever get lonely, I'll be the girl you want, or something... Give me a call if you ever get desperate, I'll be one of your girls".

I love this EP SO much, thank you for reacting to it! I have to be honest, on my first listen i wasn't really in love with most of the tracks, I knew about ICU and Caliber (as they were singles) and fell for Double back HARD, but the whole EP has rooted itself in my heart after a few listens.
