The "root cause" of poverty & homelessness is the combination of 2 essential factors. 1. The private sector can not create enough jobs. 2. The government refuses to implement a job guarantee. Until we address these 2 factors noting will change.

Interesting in that, 2 million more people are living in poverty today than 60 yrs ago. 60 yrs ago, we had a "poverty rate" of 19%, or 36 million living in poverty, and a total population of 191 million. Today, we have a total population of 335 million, a "poverty rate" of 11.6%, yet over 38 million are living in poverty today. 🤔 Statistically speaking, our "economic system" has actually pushed 33k+ people into poverty every year for the last 60 years. 😮

Thank you! My MEDICAID expires on the 31st and I am having problems getting help over the phone! I'm disabled, broke, nobody nearby to take me places and am at my wits end trying to figure out my next step or some other agency I haven't heard of .

I’m a widow my husband shot himself in July 4, 2020. I broke my wrist 2 weeks and needed surgery &in August 2020 hi Direct two vehicles 11 week the next month and the following week didn’t understand until the following day I was washing my glasses and I noticed that I cannot see anything with my right eye then I checked my left eye and I only see like 10% couldn’t die came blind because of the coronavirus it took me si2 months to make an appointment locally I saw four doctors and I didn’t wanna touch me they sent me to Houston Baylor Cole she medicine in Home I see in six doctors it took six months to r regain my eyesight however I have been severely injured with the two baby Rex and I’m was not able to drive as in you call an eye doctor hey Siri what do you call an eye doctor optometric Doctors and then I saw six in BAYLOR College of it took six months to begin my eyesight however I lost two vehicles haven’t been given the OK to drive until four months ago I have to go every two months since 2022 available college medicine is expensive with my budget since I lost my husband‘s budget of almost 3K and now I live with my disability because I’ve been to say since 2013 that’s 500 extra for widow but I had a counselor on Managment international who met with me todo a budget and do it later send me a package or I have $35 left for groceries right now what I’m looking is for Caregiver because of my severe injuries but not insurance on provide this state don’t provide human human rust human resources don’t provide because what I make and the only reason I do is cause the extra $500 is there anyway you can let me to find a caregiver medicine up to optometrist

Please help need a rent a place asap

so awesome for abused kids to have someone they can contact judgement free and have a postive role model on society. that would make my day as i know it does theirs seeing the kids just be kids truly happy and care free 💙

As a Community Health Worker and being able to see firsthand what others are confronted with when it comes to housing is heart wrenching yet there is hope and work is happening. Keeping this organization, other's that are doing the work in my prayers especially my brother's and sister's that are facing disparities.
