Thank you i have been looking for this story audio for a long time to get listening skill.
You're welcome! It's a great story, too. Tolstoy is the best.
Bravo; thanks that you keep making these
Glad you like them! We're getting back into the groove. Summer is difficult with bedtime, but we so enjoy it. Thanks for joining us!
❤
If you neither preRead nor mark up your copy you are a mere attention whore // butcher of beautiful works of art Don’t lay your guilt trips on me Practice ahead of time and mark up your copy
Thanks, Coach. 🫡
Blowme
Well done young man. Thanks for your passion and dedication.
My pleasure!
Thank you sir so much for telling these stories. You do a really great job!! 👍 It is a great comfort to me, as I work a graveyard shift as a custodian for a college. For the most part, my evenings are filled with a quiet solitude. Audiobooks are quite a comfort. I also enjoy listening to your family activity in the background. 🙂
Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm glad the stories and sounds from my kids can bring some lighthearted joy to your labor. I was a custodian at an elementary school once, albeit for me, it was a summer job. It is often a thankless one: thank you for what you do! If you have a story you'd like to hear, let me know.
You're the best man
Thank you, but I dissent. I'm just a dad who enjoys reading stories to his kids, and had the rather audacious idea to record them for others to hear. Thank you for listening.
I'm glad you like to read stories out loud.
Thank you for the reading. Please let us have more readings
There are over a hundred on the channel, and we anticipate hundreds more! Thank you so much for listening!
What a cosmopolitan coffee house 😄
Reminiscent of William Faulkner’s “The Bear”, one of his best short novella
I haven't read that one: you've got me adding books to my wishlist! Will look that one up!
I just read this story myself and I find it one of their more confusing stories
Yeah this one had me scratching my head, too. Not a personal favorite, but...
Sounds more like he stopped hunting because he got beat up so badly. He was acting like one of the people he criticizes in his essay "Thou Shalt Not Kill." Try reading that one to us, please.
Thanks for the recommendadtion. I will find it.
this rendering is juevenile so many misSpoken and/or ’overActed emphasis that it is impossible to follow the storyline rubbish
I'm sorry to have disappointed you. I do recommend you read it for yourself: it's a great story, and I'd hate to keep you from "hearing" it due to to poor articulation. I will work on getting better. Happy tidings!
@@dad_reads_stories I’ve read that story many times since before you were alive I have listened to others read it too You need to learn how to ‘mark up your copy’ so that you’re not constantly stumbling over your inflections//pronunciations. This reading does not need to be done by you as a ‘talking head’ Why you would even show your face is a disgracefully unnecessary distraction to the storyline What are you: an attention whore?
Horrid comment. If it were possible for you to meet yourself, you’d find you wouldn’t like that person.
If I were I'd be a pretty cheap one, what for all the money I make for this gig! I do this because I enjoy reading stories to my kids, and having done so for years we decided to record them for others: particularly others who may not have someone who regularly reads to them. Hence, the name of the channel. If it sounds and looks underproduced, that's because it is. Yes: this amateur looks like an amateur, and I don't have markup copies because most of the time, I'm reading these stories for the first time when I hit record. Some find delight in that serendipity, but obviously, it isn't for everyone. I wish you peace, joy and happiness in your reading.
You did a fine job. Pay no attention to that miserable human who probably lashes out at everyone due to their miserable state of affairs and station in life@@dad_reads_stories
How wonderful was that_ and totally believable, too🤓
Yeah, we joked that of all his stories, this one seems particularly legit!
Great job on the Tolstoy reads
Thank you! Tolstoy is my favorite.
Lovely
Now this was worth listening to.
Tolstoy doesn't write bad short stories. It's difficult ultimately to choose a favorite. Three Questions...King of Assyria... Leo Tolstoy: ua-cam.com/play/PLyV6N3js5zLt1zi12mHsbeUpyPmWAhC5Y.html
Wow
So interesting ! Thanks a lot .
Glad you liked it!
Thank you young man. You were pretty darn good at that. I hope to see you more often you're a really good reader I love these stories
I so appreciate the compliment. We hope to do many more! Let me know if you have any particular story you'd like to here!
Splendid!!
Thank you! The stories are great.
I love this so truly.
Yes! People ask me what my personal favorites are, and they are this one, as well as Three Questions and How Much Land Does a Man Need?. Both stories are by Tolstoy and I have recorded on the channel for your enjoyment. Thank you so much for listening! The world needs to hear these great stories. There is so much ugly in the world and on UA-cam. We need more goodness, truth, and beauty, which are so wonderfully captured by the great authors. Please share!
Wonderful 👍👍👍
Thank you!
Thank you for reading this story
It was my pleasure, thank you for listening!
What a beautiful story well told.
Thank you!
Agreed
Nice video
Thank you!
Holy Toledo! A parable peppered with truths. Terrific narration.
Thanks! These old stories are fantastic. Tolstoy is a personal favorite.
I loved your interpretation of the tale ♡
