Of course, I'm watching, you're doing stuff I haven't done in years, except to cars. Great job you're doing too. Cain just finished one of these, he's a wealth of information. Can't seem to get him to fire the camera up on all his projects. Believe me I know what a pain in the butt it is. Might try cleaning your valve with thinner to get the suction cup to stick, maybe some wd40 on the valve stem might help too. I just ran across one of these 175 Hondas with the high pipes, but its 4 hours away in Billings with snow covered roads, price is a bit steep too. Probably would get it if the roads weren't so nasty. You're doing good stuff Greg; camera work is good too, what camera do you use?
Why thank you Dale, coming from you, that means a lot. I think Cain should too, we all benefit from each others experiences. I think my suction things are a bit on the crappy side, but I got the job done. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a CB around here for ya. Dunno how much it'd cost to ship one though. I use a Canon Vixia HFR800 Camcorder. I really like it. It's not great in wind, but I'm 98% in my garage.
You just offset the rings about 180 of each other.

I'm pretty sure it was plastic, but I no longer have the car.
@gregslair4278 you should buy another one for a video and go in description on it. That would be a cool video
@@RC.Car.007 Uh, no thank you. I had too many problems with that car to begin with.
@@gregslair4278 What kind of problems did you have with the car? I've had mine for two years until I drove full speed into a random concrete block in the middle of a huge grassy field. Completely my fault. The impact was so foreceful that the battery flew out of the car through the front. I liked it so much that I'm considering getting two more. There's something about it. Loved going to the woods with it when my crawlers were too slow and didn't feel like taking one of my go fast cars. This one was getting everywhere.
@@Molekulasti It was slow, like the gear was slipping all the time. Even after replacing it and constantly adjusting it. Maybe it was just a bad car. Never had those kinda problems with my Big Rock or Senton, which I thoroughly trashed. I'd fix it, then just break it again 🤪
Thank you for this video. It deserves more views. Do you know if the backing plate for the drum brakes can be removed after taking off the wheel hub, ABS sensor and those 4 TORX head bolts? I cannot find any resources. I'm replacing my drums after a sudden wheel cylinder leak. I got one done. And on the next the previous person stripped and over torqued the front wheel cylinder bolt. An extractor or 1/4 drive socket won't fit because the wheel knuckle is in the way. I tried to look it up but found nothing relevant. But one other video on how to change the bearings and hub. And the race got stuck to the spindle just like your car. Taking the backing plate seems like a viable solution. Anything but taking the suspension off It's in great condition. But taking the entire knuckle off is beyond my abilities, tools, and finances. My car has 300,000 miles so I figured I would have the same problem with the race getting stuck and a dry bearing. So, I planned on buying a cheap hub from AutoZone if it is possible to take the baking plate off.
It should be able to but not sure. I don't have the car here to look at it.
Cleaned up nicely. That wire at the beginning was the neutral switch wire. Good luck on the stator. Merry Christmas brother hope you and yours have a blessed one.
Thank ya. Merry Christmas to you and yours as well.

How did the valve move 90 degrees to hit the piston
I'm not sure it did. The top of the piston looks like it hit something (cause it has a couple of gouges in it), but the valve on that side isn't bent and it's the same length as the other side. My initial thought was that the valve got bent in the open position and had hit the piston. But that doesn't seem to be the case.
Good job brother. Getting closer. That washer you found it goes on the valve seat
Thank ya. I don't wanna lose that one.
Next time you come across a stuck ring, pull the whole piston off and let it cook in your ultrasonic cleaner.
Good idea. The torch worked well too though.

How’s the bike doing so far?
It was doing fine and I never had any issues with it. But I have way too many bikes, so I sold it. Still got the KP-Mini though and ride it when I get a chance. Zero issues with it either.
@ how many miles did you put on it before you sold it?
@@Haven_wayRBLX Maybe about 600. Kinda wish I'd kept it, I liked the styling. There's another one here locally still in the crate. I might look it at before spring.
@ 600 dang still pretty much brand new lol.
@@Haven_wayRBLX Yes it was.
I found the Milescraft to be quite flimsy in build quality, with those plastic parts making precision cuts difficult. Certainly OK as an entry level tool, but not for long term use.
I agree. I wanted something quick and it fit the bill. Haven't used it since though.
Good job brother. Not a coffee fan. But fixing something is cool.
Thank ya Cain. Well crap, their goes another customer I can't get addicted to my coffee 🤪
The error code L is showing, and there’s no pressure building. What should I do?
Howdy. Lift off the bottom tray and see if water is running into the overflow cup. If it is, follow the tube running water and you'll see it goes to a brass T-type fitting. That's called the Doser Valve. It is bad and not (that I found) fixable. Go to Webstaurantstore.com and look up parts for the Single Estella Espresso Machine. They list that part (it's the same for the dual head). That is the part you'll need to fix it. I hope this helps ya.
I'd dump about a gallon of Evaporust into the motor and let it sit overnight
@@mflres43 Probably not a bad idea. This thing has sat for quite sometime.
Saw a biography on Honda, his first product was piston rings, not very good ones either.
Well he definitely learned from his mistakes. Lol, wish I could say the same about mine 🙂
Reading up, the CL sold much better than the CB so Honda put out a conversion kit to move the CBs out of dealerships.
Howdy. I read that too. Unfortunately those pipes are hard to come by now and are very expensive if you can find them. I'll keep looking cause those are the pipes I want.
Back in the mid 70’s, a friend that played drums in our high school jam band used to show up to practice on on of these. I was soooooo envious. I was about 16, and I think Mike was 17. Oh the 70’s.
All the bike engines I have rebuilt I never saw the cylinder sleeves come out...Merry Christmas!..........Clean the bore where the cylinder sleeve slides into the engine with lacquer thinner and the sides of the sleeves. Clean it good. Then a thin coat of thread lock on the sleeves and press back in........I have done it with new sleeves and never had them slide out....
@@tommontague5721 I guess heating the pistons loosened them up a bit.

Happy Thanksgiving to you too.
Yes sir he did mine. Dale is great. Yep heat it up and tap them back in. The head holds them down. I think that is factory pistons. Mine was in the exact shape as yours.
That's what I thought. I did a quick check and I think the bore is right under the limit (ha, still under the limit though). So I'm gonna check more, ordered some rings and see what she does. Worst case.....take it all back out and send to DALE 🤪. Thanks for watching my goofyness.
@ I have a new set of Honda rings for that bike
@@cainbeeping8480 Well crap, I just ordered a set, probably Chinese. They were like $28. How much you want for yours?

@@cainbeeping8480 K. I'll keep that in mind now that your stuck with me. I'll try these ones I got coming as a test. Gonna look up some std sleeves and pistons as a backup. If I go that route, I'll get yours from you.
Those cylinder liners are supposed to be in TIGHT. I have removed them (to make a good cylinder block from two) but they have always been very tight even after warming the cylinder muff. You warm the muff and the ally expands and makes the liners easier to remove. To get 'em back in, put the liners in the fridge overnight and the muff in the oven and the liners should push in. Do it dry because they aren't liners as such and shouldn't move when the motor is in use.
Thank you. I figured to heat the cylinder, didn't think about the freezer for the sleeves. I'm gonna clean them and the cylinder up really good before I put back in. Thanks for watching.

You need to push back the tensioner jockey wheel which will allow more slack in the camchain. Loosen the tensioner bolt (8mm head) and hey a flat screwdriver or small prybar and push back down on the tensioner jockey wheel which will compress the spring of the chain tensioner, while this is pressed down you then tighten the 8mm locknut, just nip it up so that it hold the tensioner arm. Now you have a heap of slack in the camchain so now you can lift it off the camshaft sprocket and lift if off the crankshaft sprocket, now you can rotate the chain up until you see the master link. Once you open the link then you tie it up on either side of the master link to stop it falling into the crankcase. Now you can take out the camshaft and proceed to lift off the head.
@@thecobra4530 lol, well I had the tensioner bolt loose, the spring popped off, ha, then the chain was loose. Watch the upcoming video to see the results (kinda like a cliffhanger) 😁
