How I Create Sounds For So Will I (100 Billion X) By Hillsong United
Great sounds for the money but the drip sound on the spring setting is goofy as all hell. Granted, I’m a spring reverb snob who uses a Surfy Bear unit. But I want a nice cheaper pedal to cover room and plate sounds. This seems like a pretty decent option.
@@allivegottado yeah the spring is definitely over the top, but for the money to cover other types, it’s definitely worth a try. I use a SA Ventris for all my reverb, but I still think this is a great option on a budget or for a simpler board.
Thanks you very much!
@@I-find-John-Titor glad it was useful/you enjoyed it
Can you do a video of the life of Chinese leader Mao Zedong
excellent review,.... Thanx
Sounds great, thanks. Just got offered one of these for $40 in great shape, but I shouldn't be spending money right now. So tempting....
Yeah ya gotta know when to say no to new gear for sure, but well worth a purchase when you’re ready
this work for bass?
It should, don’t know if the low frequencies would overload the reverbs or not, but for the $ it’s worth exploring
I tried to like the Ventris, but I kept hearing digital sounding stuff that did not appeal. I had to sell it after a few months. I have an R1 coming… Will see.
Interesting. I’ve not experienced that… was it on specific algorithms or just overall?
Love this pedal. Such good value. I switch mainly between 6 and 7. Love it
It definitely is a fantastic value. I was blown away at what it does for so little $
A beautiful tour of the tones. Great job Ryan, and thank you!!🤘
My pleasure! Hope it helps. You’ve made me love fuzz!
One of the best pedal reviews out there!! Thanks for sharing.
Not sure I deserve that high of praise, but thank you!
Thanks for the nice video, man. I'm on a tight budget and I've noticed that finding an affordable and decent reverb pedal is pretty tough. This might be it for me, ordered :)
I think this definitely ticks both boxes. I was pretty surprised with this one
It’s Landry btw
Mr pfaffengut me and kids at school are gonna try and get you to 1k
🤣🤣🤣
Woow!!! This solves a lot of problems for me due to the Tonex having no FX loop. ❤🎉
Excellent demo
Great review and demo 👏
Well, i've just ordered this one after watching your video, will try it with ukulele =)
That’s awesome, I hope you enjoy it!
I am very happy with these tones. I'm on the hunt for a pedal to help me get some ambience. I was looking for the ekoverb... But I can buy the delay and the reverb pedals separately for a bit more... And have the presets. People recommend me the Atlantic a lot... But despite the sound quality being great, the pedal don't allow any tone control... And that shimmer is totally unusable, imo...
I like it but it doesn't have reverse and gated reverb.
Can’t have it all for $75 I guess
@@barefootbeardedwizardry Unfortunately. But the reverbs that are on there sound great. At that price point you barely get a single reverb pedal. I'm really thinking about getting one of those and stack it before or after my Oceans 11.
Is it possible to do a pre in/pre out (direct into the amp) and post in/post out (fx loop) routing? Thanks for an answer.
Theoretically… not sure what the result would be. You could certainly run guitar into 1, out 1 into front of amp, then effects loop send into input 2, output 2 to return, and make your amps effects loop the insert. I would think this would enable you to switch the MD-200 between being in front & being in the loop, but I haven’t actually tried it… might be time to experiment!
@@barefootbeardedwizardry thanks. Do you run it in front or in the fx loop?
@@AtlasCubeProgressiveRock I was running it in front & using this insert feature, but I decided to try it for a while in the loops (stereo setup) & I’ve really been liking that
I bought this pedal. Your video convinced me there is a decent delay for under $100
Are there better things ones? Of course, but for the $, it’s incredible
This pedal kicks ass. I never have found the need for anything else this pedal covers it all for me.
It is pretty amazing what they’ve managed to pack in it, especially considering the price
I found a way to use the insert loop as a MIDI switchable loop (Even when inserting a non MIDI pedal). You can have the MD200 and the inserted pedal in either on or off state (so 4 combos). Make 4 presets as follows: 1. Both Off. Set iLP to off, choose Chorus and set effect level to zero. 2. Only loop pedal on. Set iLP to on (pre or post). Again choose chorus with effect level zero. 3. Only MD200. Choose your modulation effect. Set iLP to off. 4. Both on. Choose your modulation effect. Set iLP to on. Now use your MIDI switcher to send PC changes to select your presets.
Woah that’s brilliant! Thanks for the tip, I’ll have to play with that idea!
I like when they have a bass control as well.
I honestly don’t know why it’s not more common
Cave would see a lot of use in my music. Spring is a bit much.
Cave is fantastic… I don’t like spring generally, I like this one even less
@@barefootbeardedwizardry It sounded to me like it would benefit from a serious lo-pass in the default algorithm.
@@artysanmobile definitely
Very good!!
Thanks!
Also: $75 and it doesn't come with a power. So the $75 pedal goes back. Im an X'er, I grew up when companies had accountability and sent you a pedal that worked out of the box. This useless brick went right the fuck back to China. If you have self respect and work hard for your money don't buy pedals that charge you out the ass and could give 2 shits if you can use it once you get it or not. Never again.
Virtually no one provides a power supply with their effects pedals anymore. You'll either have to accept that, or just be bitter about the realities of life. A good power supply is $10. Is that worth your level of hate?
@@lawrencegenereux8567 His stance seems irrational to me, but you'd be surprised how many Amazon reviewers give 1 star reviews JUST BECAUSE a pedal doesn't come with a power supply. SMH
@@mr.d.572 The one star rating for no power supply makes me crazy. That's one reason why I take ratings with a grain of salt.
Yo momma went right the fuck back to China.
I don't understand the point of the captions which tell you exactly what you can see. Pointless video. 👎
Half the video spent on the battery door? Okay
thanks for the video, this is exactly what I needed to see. The shimmer verb (which is what you dig as well) is what I was looking for at a budget price. I am not going to spend $300 on a reverb pedal anytime soon. $80 bucks for a solid pedal and a power supply is tough to beat.
Absolutely! While I do have the Source Audio Ventris as my main reverb, I know most folks don’t need all those features… no reason to break the bank just to have some reverb
Hello. Can you advance the presets with the footswitch? Or do you have to push the button? Thanks!
Unfortunately, you have to push the button
@@barefootbeardedwizardry Thanks!!!!
Does it save the last selected preset after restarting, or does it always start up with preset 1 selected?
I honestly don’t remember for sure, but I THINK it always goes back to 1
dude, i'm having the hardest time trying to use my expression pedal on it... this video help me to figure a little bit about it but still not working properly... more videos like these would help a lot
Best advice I can give, get a boss expression pedal… or make sure the potentiometer in your expression pedal matches the values of the boss one. Otherwise, it won’t be able to go to 0 and/or max… as far as assigning different parameters to the expression pedal, if I ever figure that out, I’ll definitely make a video 😄
@@barefootbeardedwizardry i was using a boss ev30… after a long run i figure out after saw the oficial Boss explanation on the comments of other video
This or joyo atmosphere?
Comes down to features. I like having stereo & presets. If you don’t need those you might prefer the Joyo.
@@barefootbeardedwizardry thanks
This is great! Thanks for the vid. I got this a couple of days ago and I've been playing with it and reading the manual found out of this option which is super useful! And the fact that you can configure it for each effect or preset is greatly appreciated. Thanks again for this little tutorial, definitely gonna try it out
Glad I could help!
Hi, why to use 2 Delay/Rever Pedals in a Pedalboard?
To have different types/sounds of delay/reverb, to stack delays into each other for syncopated delays, to have reverb > delay & delay > reverb
Which do you prefer? Best for bang the buck?
3:00 You get my like with the Shire theme <3
Haha never thought of it like that, but there’s definitely some similarities 😄 appreciate it
Ventris all damn day. Just wish it was the same except smaller somehow. Literally my only gripe is the size and even then I'm just being picky.
I think the size is pretty impressive considering how powerful it is. But if they’d found a way to have all top jacks it would make it SEEM smaller. Heck, even if only the midi was on top, it would shrink the footprint.
@@barefootbeardedwizardry yeah, agreed for sure on all of that
I don't suppose there's a kill dry?...
Unfortunately, no
Why. Isn't. It. MIDI.
Right!? Honestly for the price though, it’s amazing they can offer all they are… stereo, a preset for each algo, pretty impressive
@@barefootbeardedwizardry I just don't get it. I've been looking for a relatively simple pedal like this (and delay), only a few presets, small format, etc. I thought this was it. I'd pay the extra $20-40 if it were MIDI. The only option I've found that does all this is the SA Ventris which is nearly $300. Ugh...
@@jamesnichols5998 I hear ya… the new NUX tape echo (large version NDD-7) is stereo & has midi… I’m assuming they’ll be releasing a similar reverb in the not too distant future. Full transparency though, I have the Ventris on my board & it was so good I bought the Nemesis as well.
Nice review thanks for sharing this 👍
Thanks!
Thanks, this is helpful information
Mine won't power on. I've got no idea why I got this and thr delay and they both don't power on
ok walrus police coming in....... there is no bad pedal here all reverbs haver their own feeling, both great pedal , the walrus is more convenient because of size awesomeness and firmware updates . case closed .
You’re right we all like different things… not everyone wants their reverbs to sound realistic
Thanks for the info - this is going to come in handy as I'm a new owner and just beginning the MD-200 journey.
Brilliant series of pedals, but as usual, the manual sucks 😄
