Your question is not clear : if you refer to the actual scanner , you simply plug it into the USB port. If you refer to applications within ERPNext .... When doing GR, the person receiving the goods can scan the PO .... when ordering stock you can use the barcode scanner to scan barcodes on the item-bins..... with a bit of customisation you can do employee login / logout with the employee checkin doctype to do auto-attendance .....

The server is a VPS server sitting at a cloud service provider and I am logging on the the front-end of my ERPNext server with my PC at my office. The installation on the VPS server was done using a manual installation method. The virtual VPS server is a 2CPU-4G configuration.

Have you tried editing the Asset category settings ?

Hi Patrick. All my servers are all hosted at a VPS service provider. I have installed an SSL certificate so my desk access is via HTTPS. ofcourse I have a domain registered. My backend access is via putty which is controlled via SSH key-pair. Appart from the OS-firewall most service providers also have additional firewalls that you can configure. IF you want to set up a PC at home and you want to access it via internet, you will have to register a domain and then setup the required NATing and firewalls. Hope that answers your question.

Hi. I have not used DirectAdmin for any of the installs I did. All installs are manually done via SSH connection. I prefer manual installation over script-installation. Nothing wrong with script-installation, its just the way I prefer it. If something goes wrong yo can fix that step before proceeding.

Hi. The Company settings are done when you log in for the very first time and you are presented with all those questions .. currency, chart of accounts etc. That is sufficient to carry on. yes, there are many things that can be changed in the company setup but that would be specific to a requirement that one might have. I did not want to go into that for fear of clouding things. My aim was to cover the bare essentials from a manufacturing point of view.

I did some accounting in Grade 9. But I really climbed into ERPNext and made plenty of use of T-accounts to analize what is happening. One video on youtube made a big difference .... one that just explained transactions based on practical examples. One or two pennies dropped which made me understand debit vs credit. But I do have some strange ideas about the use of some accounts. It is then that 2 friends, a CA and an accountant puts me back on track ! Thanks for the supportive comment.

I am more than 100% sure that if you could put a little attention to financial market such as stock, or bond,,, you would earn a lot of money. but I do know you enjoy what you are doing ----to give those plastics, metal parts a life. It sounds strange for me to say something like that, but because I am not an acountant, I know where I got stuck and therefor can make sure that I highlight that in my words.

Good day. The receiver on my drones I powered it directly from the battery. I am using 4S batteries. I don't know if you are using 4S, 6S or 12S so check with the manual that you are not exceeding the maximum voltage that it can handle on its power input.

Good day. It is very difficult to make a judgement based on what you have said. Why don't you send me a mail because I would prefer that the comments section not turn into a debugging session. But you have te be far more spesific ... what version.... describe what you are doing ... any error messages ... any error-log entries. screenshots and sometimes even videos of what is happening can gratly assist anyone to find the problem. I would also suggest you join the discussion forum where people assist each other with problems.

Hi Kitt. It may be different from version to version. I am using 12.26 and in this version it is under STOCK -> STOCK SETTINGS. There is a tick-button to tick "Use barcode field". Best

Where we share with each other so that more people can quickly overcome those initial learning-steps that is always there with any software. Sorry Rajesh I haven't done Frappe/ERPNext deployment in Docker/Kubernetes environment yet. I have deployed my systems at Digital Ocean and they do have Kubernetes but I just haven;t gotten to that yet.

There are plenty of options in this regard. I have tested all these options and all of them work except one. I have communicated this to CUAV and I am just waiting for an answer. I am hoping to explain this all in the next video.

Hi. If you buy the anti-static system as a kit, it will come with a connection to the earth-pin on the mains-outlet. If you buy the anti-static components separately, then you wil have to make sure you have the matt, the wrist strap and the connection to the earth-pin on the mains. It normally looks like a mains-plug on seroids !!!
