      Well, I say this not as a lawyer... marriage is like a deck of cards-you start with two hearts and a diamond, but how it ends depends on many factors. Shuffle carefully! 😅 With a good prenup, you'll at least be better off on the material side!

    Thank you so much, I have been trying to explain this to people for a long period of time. I would not recommend getting married either because the court system recognizes marriage as legal status but they don’t explain what people’s legal rights are. I would suggest a covenant marriage where it involves religion or spirituality, not a lawful marriage because that’s when you allow the state to get involved into your business.

    Hi, great video. My story - maybe you can help? 3 years ago, I reported my Narc wife to the local county Elder Abuse dept. I opened a case because I was scared that she might hurt me or damage my stuff. She throws things - even her phone and trashes my room as desired. Elder Abuse said they were unable to determine any narcissistic behavior on her part in their investigation. At that time I had already been researching narcissism for a while. Since I had gained some knowledge of narcissism, I took exception and tried to get Elder Abuse to re-examine the case because they gave me no explanation or if the thumb drive full of recorded abuse examples had even been reviewed. I did not get any response to the question asking if the recorded abuse evidence had been removed. The motion denied. I knew Elder Abuse was WRONG! I passed the narcissist victim self-eval and unfortunately passed with flying colors. I decided I had to learn more about narcissism, how to cope with narcissism better so I can exist in her narcissistic world and continued to plan how to get the "Hell out of Dodge" . Now, in 2024, after having to deal with many months of serious problems involving her daughter's marital disaster back East and getting a lot of time on a main stage, my faithful narc turned her attention back to me. Her family disaster in Illinois came up again. I agreed that the problems were very "bad", but failed to say something to the effect that she must be so devasted and how hard those things are so hard for her, ad nauseum. As expected, she started into a litany of rants on her family, me and EVERYTHING I ever said or did, every thing she felt that was wrong with me, the world, how her feelings were not respected, blah, blah, blah... ApparantIy, I did not respond in a manner that was acceptacle to her because it did not validate her pity pot and received a full narcissistic broadside and she attempted to board. Her attack repulsed! Followed by rage. Now's the time for me to get away from this insanity. No turning back. I don't know if you having any opinion on the Elder Abuse part of the story. I believe they failed to do their jobs properly. I truly look forward to working through the many help videos to learn the important things about narcissism and my co-dependency, and doing what I need to accomplish before I leave for good. Any ideas/suggestions/ advice on this issue would be gratefully appreciated. Thanks, Chris

      That can be true; however, we can never truly know the personal details of someone's relationship. It's important to remember that relationships are complex, and both sides of the story contribute to a breakup. But the legal aftermath and how it unfolds can be very revealing, often shedding light on parts of the story we might not have known before.

    I am Disabled and I am only able to pay my Attorney fees. I filed for Divorce because my wife refused to buy me food and she really treated me bad. Constant threats to me every time she would come near me I would stand up and she said you are threatening me. You sit down or I will call the Police. I never ever harmed her in any way. I was her Husband for 45 years. This threat of calling the Police had no warrant. This was a new thing I did not understand. She had already been served with the Divorce papers, She shred financial papers in front of me after being served. She Physically attacked me and had me on the floor, I could not breathe, I cried out for the neighbors to send help. No one came to my aid. She got off me because she thought she I stopped breathing. She grabbed her purse and said "I am out of here" she then ran out the front door. As soon as I could I called the Police to have them come to make the Spousal/Elder abuse report. When she started on me I thought I had better just let her hit me. I did not want her to say I hit her. I have the whole fight on a recorded phone app.

    If you are in a relationship for ten years and are as a parent for those children. Why not have amy rights? How heartbreaking wil it be for children to suddenly miss this constant person in their life?

    • @DianaRomanovska
      @DianaRomanovska 28 днів тому

      You bring up a great point. When someone has been a constant parent figure in a child's life for years, the emotional bond is significant. Family law does recognize this in some cases, and non-biological parents can seek rights depending on the situation. It's heartbreaking for children to lose a stable figure, and it's important to understand legal options to protect those relationships.

    So…what is a presumed parent? And what rights do they have?

    • @DianaRomanovska
      @DianaRomanovska 28 днів тому

      Definition: A person who has acted as a parent (without being biological) by living with and caring for the child. Qualification: Held the child out as their own. Rights: Custody & Visitation. Child Support responsibilities. Parental Decision-Making authority. Court Standing for legal disputes.
