Some amazing footage from our weekend at Harradines Vet Bunbury. One of our clients, Dimi the kelpie cross, at play shortly after training. Watch the third throw of the stick and where it lands - spot the snake and see what Dimi does...... She does the right thing, avoids the snake completely, even though her favourite game is fetching sticks. Well done Dimi, lesson learned, model trainee.

Not sure if the tourists that go on these boats realise that the only thing stopping a croc snatching them out of that boat and dragging them into the water is that there is plenty of prey in the water already, they are well fed. One day, you will come across a hungry one. I'd never go on a boat like that in those waters.

And that species of croc goes back before T-Rex, that's what's scary. They likely fought Allosaur and Tyrannosaurus for territory at the river.

Yes!!! Let's keep putting food with human beings, so that they will see us as food. Because it's such a great idea to tease such a large animal such as this. This is what throws balance off. Leave it up to humans to fuck something else up!!!!

Watched a UA-cam special of several (3 or 4) guys kayaking one of Africa's biggest rivers lousy with crocodiles Right after the first made it past a rough set of rapids the second in line reached the calm water just in time to see his buddy ahead of him get snatched out of his kayak by a huge crocodile estimated at 18' in length. I do not understand how this happens I mean crocodiles purposely and routinely hunt and eat humans in both Africa and Australia but much more so in African Crocodiles are much more dangerous to humans than any other aquatic predator by a significant margin

That's not exactly true. Indo-Pacific Saltwater Crocodiles are more aggressive than Niles, don't get me wrong, Niles are bad bad crocs. But MOST Aussies know not to mess with them, but some do. Tourists in Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia nations like that, yeah salties snatch kayakers as often as Niles do. Thing about Salties even if not hungry, they kill on sight and save you for next week. Do NOT underestimate salties, they're older than Nile Crocs, shared territory with Allosaur and Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Well, I'd do that in Everglades before I'd do that in Northern Australia. Gators? Even the small number of Niles, Saltwater Crocodiles is a special kind of Dinosaur. It is in every sense of the word, a dinosaur. It had to be fierce enough to contend with various comings and goings of actual both bird and reptile dinosaurs, survived numerous global cataclysms and extinctions, and they're still here. The story of Imperial Japanese invasion of New Guinea, they lost hundreds of infantrymen crossing a river heavily populated by Saltwater Crocodiles, this was also at night. But, honor and Emperor Hiro Hito Sama dictated river must be crossed. Most the crocs killed for territory, wasn't about eating them. Salties don't want anything in their waters and they don't even get along with eachother, they kill eachother more than any Crocodilan. Just big big highly aggressive reptiles with the strongest recorded biteforce of any living animal. Alligator won't do that. Salty here, they truly hunt people. People aren't special, just a critter crossing their territory and if he isn't hungry, he'll store you for later in the week. Terrifying animals I want to leave the hell alone.

@@LoneWolf_Cub_Ogami_Itto recent studies have shown the nile croc to be more aggressive to humans on average than a saltie. The saltie has been largely sensationalized to do the human intervetion to protect them with too many crocs in one place making them more aggressive than what was normal in the early 1900s. Salties are very big scavengers aswell able to eat things other predators cant.
