Every other year an amazing guy named Fred has a 'Gathering' of his Select Literate Friends (SLF) at his property in Wind Gap Pennsylvania. People come from great distances. Some even bicycle great distances (as a fundraiser) (Go Red!). It's all to help Fred's favorite cause, Equi-librium which is a riding therapy program for special needs youth. It's an awesome cause. Fred's an awesome guy. Hi...

Bryn Mawr Mainliners Barbershop Chorus - 45th Anniv. Contest
Touchingly beautiful
Love listening
❤😢
Amazing. I'm blown away for real
Swee and lovely
I competed with Bryn Mawr chorus many years ago. I was a member of the Princeton Garden Statesmen chorus in NJ, and I would compete with them at regional and district contests.
Nice job but the lead needs to learn all of the melody notes.
Is nobody talking about the sheer RANGE of Jack Pinto's voice?? Just a year earlier he was belting a high A4 to win the 2011 medal, now he sings this bass line (it's not an easy one, mind you) with complete and utter perfection. Goodness
Amen!
Eb?
Randy my brother in Christ I have bad news Jack was on the high 3rd in that video, Kipp was on the root you're thinking of
@@romankingbhs i've been looking for this comment for 3 years now to correct it. i have since learned (love you)
Joe and Sean together... Been looking something like this
I dig it. Good job, guys. Harmonies were tight.
if Joe wants a fifth medal he could totally sing bari
How much do you think Sean gulped when Joe said "no, you go ahead and sing lead" lol
Fabulous Job on this Romantic Arrangement. Much rehearsal went into this. Five Star Rating
Actually, I was there and this was completely impromptu with zero rehearsal.
Thanks for sharing! Thanks to Jack Pinto we found this beautiful song a couple of years ago.. Almost two weeks ago T-SiNG! from Tilburg, The Netherlands sang Tears in Heaven (and Smile, arr.Tom Gentry)at the Dutch Holland Harmony Barbershop Convention. We won the gold medal with these very strong and emotional songs. This is how we did it; ua-cam.com/video/aK5j--_5ZwY/v-deo.html
Good!!!!
Incredible. What a privilege to have been there for such a top bunch of pros.
Hahaha! Awesome!!!
Great singing and incredibly cute!
Great video. Good luck in Pittsburgh!
Holy moly, that chord at 1:36!!! I have another favorite YT version of this song, and includes that tenor, and the bari does some awesome stuff (you all probably know the vid I mean). If we could get a studio version combining that and this, I would probably listen to it 24/7!!
Send me a link to the version you're talking about?
Hmm...it seems to have disappeared. I don't know who they are. The tenor is the same, and I think the guy in the white T-shirt. They are all wearing name tags and singing in a hall or lobby by some elevators, I think.
Dear Brothers in Harmony !!!! We remember you and love !!!!
Joe on Bari works incredibly well.
I love the two reactions: Tim shaking his head, & Sean with the OK sign!
Beautiful! It's nice to hear barbershop without microphone amplification, and it sounds great!
Great chord at 1:36! I love when someone spontaneously doctors up a polecat :)
Even though I am a member of the Brothers and was there when this happened, it just NOW occurred to me that this is Good Times with Joe on baritone, ha!
I agree. I tend to prefer Joe in moderation as a lead, but as a bari, I could listen to these guys all day long.
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMore from this quartet, please.
Joe should get his 5th medal as a Bari, with this quartet.
And also, his bari tiddly near the start shows that he's great on bari as well as lead!
Precisely!
Joe on bari? WHAT. It's good though, people tend to say that Joe overpowers the quartet sound, but he doesn't here, I think he knows how to back off, but he also knows that, when he's lead, he doesn't need to.
Yeah, it is. And the lead from Old School's on bari.
I looks like the baritone from Old School is singing bass. But im not completely sure.
So... who sings bass is, more or less, irrelevant?
awesome! no other word for it
Congrats to Sean Devine's new quartet, Throwback, on scoring 85.2 at the Sunshine district quartet prelims.
This is my favorite polecat song. I'm glad to see (hear?) that I'm not the only one.
I'm surprised Joe let someone else be lead. haha
0:21 LOL
This is ridiculous
Give it a thumbs up and share with all your friends!
These guys are great!
Stunning!
@66gardener Amen, Brother! Singing is Life!
@agva50 Thanks for the note! It's great to hear from old friends. Where are you now?
An impressive chapter through the years! I sing in a chorus in Ohio and a chorus in Florida. I enjoy every minute of it. We are all brothers of song!
I sang for them in '89, miss it terrible, must get singing again.
Great vid. As a side note: This song is called "Put Your Arms Around Me"
I'm not certain whether this is arrangement is approved for competition or not. Most quartets learn and perform many non-contest legal arrangements. The contest rules limit things a bit too much IMO. But the quartets are always pushing the limits to some degree. They will often get penalized in the process. The quartets also like to poke fun at the judges in contest, which is another form of living dangerously. Usually it's a short reference, but sometimes it's blatant (& funny as heck).
