Thank you to all of you working at the shelters. It cannot be easy at all to see all the unwanted dogs and cats coming through simply because people won't do the right thing. It's the people that don't spay or neuter that cause this to happen. NOONE else.

I guarantee he's mix CATTLEDOG!!!! Best dog you'll ever parent. I currently have 4. But mine are all kill rescues because people were beyond awful to them😢 BECAUSE of their high energy. They honestly are, humans with fur.... Not a house decoration!!!! 😡

I’m sorry I should have clarified, Winston is at the Long Beach CA public animal shelter. He’s been adopted and returned 5 times for “too much energy”. Unfortunately shelters are overflowing and sometimes they euthanize dogs to make room for more. It’s really sad but when humans don’t adopt from shelters and buy from breeders the shelter dogs just sit there and eventually end up being put down. Our shelter is amazing and we keep dogs for as LONG as we can, sometimes over a year! Winston is amazing and I want to save him, it just takes ONE person to give him the RIGHT home. His last adopter was arrested for domestic violence and Winston was seized by police and brought back to the shelter AGAIN. He’s had a rough life so far💔

He’s been returned by 4 diff families for being too energetic:( his last adopter was arrested for domestic violence and Winston was seized by police and brought back to the shelter yet again. It’s so sad he’s such a sweet boy he just needs the right home to give him love, patience and work on his manners!

No, it’s a public animal shelter where unfortunately euthanasia is sometimes what happens when a dog is having trouble (kennel stress) or has been returned too many times like this guy. 5 homes have said he has too much energy. Shelters are overflowing and they have to make room for more dogs. If humans would stop abandoning their animals at such alarming rates this wouldn’t need to happen. But sadly it does. Some days we have up to 15 dogs found as strays or “surrendered” by their owners for things like “moving can’t take the dog”- “no longer wanted dog”- “dog is too old”. You name it we hear it💔
He seems healthy and active. Why would he be on euthenasia list ?

Come people, PLEASE save this adorable and cute dog named Winston. I'm sure he would love to be with His forever family. SO PLEASE ADOPT HIM NOW.
