Autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR), sometimes auto sensory meridian response, is a tingling sensation that usually begins on the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and upper spine.
ASMR signifies the subjective experience of "low-grade euphoria" characterized by "a combination of positive feelings and a distinct static-like tingling sensation on the skin." It is most commonly triggered by specific auditory or visual stimuli, and less commonly by intentional attention control.

I've found ASMR to be extremely helpful in not only relaxation but it's very grounding for me. It allows me to enjoy the beauty of all different types of sounds and brings me to the present moment to soak it all in. I've added it to my emotional "toolbox" and it's done so much in so little time.
