All I can say to this moment is don't worry Lois, you'll get your happy ending with Clark soon enough. For me if Clark had ended up with Lana then you'd get no complaints, but at the end of the day I was happy Clark got his happy ending with Lois in Smallville. Plus the chemistry Tom displayed with both Kristin and Erica was awesome. 👍🏻

The return of Lana Lang was a big mistake on the part of the writers. It annoyed me and I'm sure many other viewers because they'd beat the Clana horse over the head to the point that they were beating the ground. Clois should've started earlier in the show. I hear that they were worried that the show would suffer if they got rid of Lana, but don't realize that at least for me, leaving Lana there for that long got redundant and boring. It was so overdone that it made Clark seem like an underdeveloped child.

I think the reason why I’m still a CLANA fan is because I grew up with it and got used to it. Besides nobody forgets their first love. But I gotta give it to the writers on how amazingly they fit CLOIS relationship in just 2 seasons left whereas CLANA had 7. The actresses and actors killed it as well too bringing that new relationship to life. I’m both team CLANA & CLOIS. The big bummer is that I miss Smallville after all these years!

There is an article by Niall Gray from ScreenRant dated 8/28/22 that talked about the early seasons of Smallville compared to the later seasons. “early seasons are the shows worst, heavily relied on a villain of the week format that prevented significant character development and narrative arcs”. “initial idea was that Clark would develop one new Superman power each season, but this proved to be a somewhat agonizing and unsustainable approach”.”Smallville’s later seasons that serve as the shows best”, “didn’t actually become the perfect Superman story until it’s’ later years”.

I love their friendship so much the vulnerability and how well they know each other! And how he knows both Clark and Lois so well! I’m so glad he helped them together

one of the most underrated scenes of all smallville history. they both really show their acting chops.

I just love Erica. I love her portrayal... her chemistry with Tom Welling... (I even love the controversy, real or unreal...) Honestly, though, I'm more attached to Lois's characterization in Smallville than anywhere else... and it was the series that made me a fan of Superman/Clark Kent in 2019 (because I started watching Smallville just november of the same year).

The writers blew it big time w/ Lana’s return mostly because they were resentful and bitter that Clark had to end up with Lois and there’s no getting around that...

Shame on Clark for making Lois feel like this... like she is anything less than extraordinary. Frankly, I never truly forgave Clark for making Lois feel like he was only paying attention to her because Lana wasn’t there and the second that she showed up he pretty much forgot all about Lois and how he had her in his arms about to kiss her before Lana walked in. Frankly, the fact that Clark got another chance with Lois is a miracle because after treating her like she was a placeholder and making her feel like she was at the bottom of the list of people that mattered to him, he doesn’t deserve another chance.

See Lois wasn't sure of her feelings for Clark either that's why she respected herself and did the mature thing to step back and Clark wasn't sure about his feelings for Lois either but Clana fans can't see that. It's like asking someone to choose between their favorite flavor of ice cream and another flavor they are not familiar with.. they will definitely choose the favorite flavor. Plus clana fans calling Lois a "second choice" is only necessary if she stayed and they were both sure of their feelings for each other but they are still both trying to figure it out. A "choice" isn't necessary when one "candidate" leaves deliberately just like you can't vote (choose) in government if one candidate steps down and only one is left campaigning.

This is not the first time Lana has been the one to ruin something serious between Clark and another girl. At spring formal when Clark and Chloe were about to kiss after a beautiful dance, Lana just had to be in danger and then normal immature Clark had to stand beautiful Chloe up and go after Lana..not that I'm dwelling.

God I wanted to punch Lana in the face at that moment ...and him for the next 3 episodes which I skipped when I recently did a rewatch cause I couldn't bare it!
