In 1988 at Waffle House unit 479 in Marietta, Georgia and during my job during first shift the engineer for the Corporate office formerly located on Windy Ridge Pkwy he would drive to the location cation by the 120 Loop on Greenbriar Pky for breakfast and explained his job and position as a engineer for the company and needed to design an attachment for the shampooer for lifting the debris and sand from the carpet. I recall in 1979 that my dad worked part time under Ronnie Moon and rode with him to Powders Springs and watched him sell a Silverado canister vacuum to a couple. So I have known Ronnie since I was a teenager so it was s no brainer since the B-5’s became shampooer and the B-7 had the brushes on the sides of the brushes which would semi suds up the dry foam so we decided the cupped brush rollers needed to replace the ridges on the sides which would cause tge shampoo to foam up more with a slide in tank with s plastic lever instead of s heavy duty string and plastic ring and the B-8 Floor Pro was invented by the beginning. My concept was based upon the buffing spur for high speed buffers which were used in auto detailing at that time, so he went to s nearby detail shop and observed s technician buffing a paint job and modified the spurs design for construction out of high impact plastic by which spray silicon is recommended during use to reduce the friction of the steal pins which hold the spurs in place. As a former sales representative also during special operations in counter terrorism in North Carolina I did not get to collect any money from the company for assisting in the design but after working for Kirby vacuum cleaners in 1991 I decided to switch over to Electrolux and transformed from a high pressure salesman to s full service oriented sales rep who would also provide services for all makes and models of vacuum cleaners when I also worked in Pensacola after starting with the company when the satellite branch of the Canton full service branch was located in Town Center Mall and down the road from the current dealership which is now named Aerus because Econovax sold AB 1:00 of Sweden back the name of Electrolux and converted the nanes from Electrolux to Aerus in 2001 and thats when I left the company and provided full service professional upholstery and Capet cleaning services for the furniture rental companies around ATLanta which I also provided part time for Easy Rental since 1991 after contracting the cleaning of their work vans at the Marietta store in 1989. I still use the lap lifters on like carpets but they’re not recommended for sculptured nor looped carpets. For best results for the shampoo on Berber carpet is a slight anoint of bleach but not recommended for all other carpets exception to indoor/outdoor carpet. For allergy sufferers I recommend taking the pillows once a month and run them through the air fluff of the dryer for 45 minutes and vacuum the mattress for an estimated 10 minutes rotational in crisscross slow strokes but like with carpeting and area rugs fast stroke forward with vacuums and slow pulls backwards helps the efficiency of most vacuums. If the mattress is over 6 months old then vacuum mattress for 5 minutes for each month and up to 90 % plus of dead skins and dust mite poop will come out with lots of dust mites. For those who love to wash their pillows we recommend still running the pillow through the air plugs of the dryer for at least 45 depending on the age of the pillow also due to makeup and dead skin build up in women’s pillows regardless of soaps and skin cleansers makeup still builds up with dead skin, dust mites and their poop and can cause health issues with women and teenagers. So I recommend purchasing quality and top performing vacuum cleaners because if the vacuums are not capable of keeping your mattress clean so you can sleep and rest better and breath better especially if you’re a smoker it’s not healthy to breath in the dust out of your pillows and vacuuming your mattress and upholstery reduces dust particles in the air but Aerus moved into the firld of air purification in 2001 when they instructed the first hepa filter which electronically deployed ions through the static from the vacuuming and today have expanded back into the water purification and also Air purification also for central heating and air and their central vacuums are still superior to the majority of central vacuum systems. When shampooing mattresses, carpets and like lifting carpets and certain types of area rugs rotate the shampooer side to side and crisscross. Let the carpets set for 24 hours after drying before allowing children and or let’s lay it okay because they can catch the Kawasaki Disease which is caused from bacteria getting wet by detergents and or sanitizers. This is a deadly concoction especially for children because on the corner of Windy Hill Road and Powers Ferry Road near the corporate headquarters of Electrolux was the Nautilus Fitness Center which had a daycare/nursery for its clients children which like most of the gym had carpet and so did the nursery. One night after closing had s service come in and extract the carpet and the nursery was last and the job was completed around 4:30 am. Around 6:30 am the gym opened for its early morning clients who left their children in the nursery and around 11 became deathly I’ll and sone of them died. COVID-19 provides some patients with the similar symptoms of the Kawasaki disease and it’s effects on does to children like COVID-19 which also killed Sam Duncan Jr the CEO of Skyview Energy of Murphy, NC I almost killed in a self defensive physical altercation in June of 1997 after my meeting with Hunter and Jim Biden in Marble, NC by which prior to my meeting with Jim I wound up paralyzing a guy who threaten to beat me to death so in return I almost beat him to death and paralyzed him for close to 2 years. He converted and became s minister but another guy in Cobb County I hospitalized with a broken jaw and cheekbone from one of my punches also in self defense also died from COVID-19 after Sam Jr passed away. That was another failed abduction which occurred at Pappadeaux on Windy Hill Road in front of ATLanta real estate broker Jeff Carrier and his order to have me execute almost got his assassin Mark Payne killed from my famous right hook. Yeah Jeff was involved with my cousin Robert Veitch and my brother Fred in countless child murders with John Ramsey and the Gridiron starting with the ATLanta Child Murders. So Jim Vickers of the Electrolux branch manager of the Gainesville branch witnessed the abduction of Levi Frady while I worked in Gilmer County and sold 2 shampooers and a upright vacuum to 2 different customers because Jim ran the bum lead my Brach Maher Charlie Bettis ordered me to run that morning so Jim showed up trying to locate a address which did not exist and drove minivan similar in make and color is why Doug McRae of the Radio Shack mistook his van as being mine so he helped Craig Menear Chairman for Home Depot and Danny Hughes of Kings Leathercraft helped Milton Frady abduct his rebellious son off of his bum icy Le in the carport of his mothers home and Jim witnessed the abduction and his composite sketch was put out with Doug’s because my brother and that bunch including Levi’s parents failed to frame me for both his and the Centennial Park attacks. So yeah while these guys were trying to kill me in lower Alabama from 1995-1996 that I didn’t allow it to interfere with my sales. As a matter of a fact made me knock on more doors to get in s home to sell machines with hitmen awaiting my departure but had to go to and find public restrooms to take their dumps and or purchase drinks from sitting in their vehicles in the hot sun. So that worked out even after Cobb Assistant Magistrate crashed his 1970 Buick Centurion into the brick mailbox of one of my customers in Evergreen, Alabama I sold 2 Epic 6500 canister vacuums and shampooer/polished to in The spring of 1995. So if you own a floor pro use the knaplifters once s month in high traffic areas and vacuum slowly afterwards with s efficient vacuum. Top performers are Healthmore brands Filter Queen and Princess, Tri-Star, Meile in addition to Aerus. The Electrolux vacuum brand today is not the American designed vacuums which bore the Electrolux brand in the US since the 1930’s and are nothing near the performance of Aerus/Electrolux which carry the genuine Electrolux parts like for supplies and service in North Georgia is located in Kennesaw and the telephone number os (770)428-4772 like it has been since it was s satellite office under the Canton sales and service branch.

I wish this video wasn't so old. Chances are, nobody will see this comment. :( I have had 4 Kirby projects over the years. Two G4's, a G5, and a G6 2001 Limited. All had the shampoo system. I have wondered for years about something: on the bottom of the tank, under the tank removal "handle", is a rectangular well that has five 1/2" long nubs facing inward and a cutout at the rear, like something is supposed to slide or snap into that rectangle. What is it for? What's supposed to go there?

Many secondhand owners may not understand the Drive and Neutral for vacuuming.

This is the only vacuum on the market that can self stand on the hard floor attachment head. So really it’s the best Dyson alternative with a bag that can clean hardwood and carpets with the two different self standing heads.

So this carpet shampooer is only to freshen your carpet and not really clean it. I bought this thinking I could really clean my carpet that is very dirty after 5 years. Is there another kit that does deep cleaning, or can you do another video where you demonstrate this on a dirty carpet? It seems you're demonstrating it on brand new carpet.

Hi. I also sold Lux's back in the 80s. And if I'm right, that first one you pointed to is a "Silverado". As a former door-to-door Lux-salesperson, you might appreciate this story. I once sold a Lux to a woman whose husband was a Kirby salesperson, I did it in her home, in front of her husband, and over his objections! It was spring as I remember, late afternoon. I knocked on the door, Mrs. Homeowner answered, I gave her whatever the pitch-of-the-day was. She said "Wait here a moment", closed the door, and after a minute, opened it and I stepped into the living room. The dining room was to my immediate left, and Mr. Homeowner was sitting at the table, reading a paper. I invited him to see the presentation, he said "You don't want me there". I asked again, and he said the same thing. The wife says "He sells Kirbys". I DEFINITELY wanted him there. (I was young and full of vinegar, so why not?) Soon, he and I were going head-to-head. He vacuumed the living room, I pulled dirt after him. I taped the hoses end-to-end with masking tape, turned both machines on, the Lux overpowered the Kirby, sucking the air and dirt out of it, collapsing the bag. He said "Kirby has more attachments than Elux". I asked the wife "When was the last time you used that belt-sander?" She said "I've never used any of them", and pulled the unopened box of attachments out of the closet. He says "Yeah, but my wife likes uprights." He didn't know we had a commercial-grade upright. I excused myself, went to the car, and came back with the upright. He was shocked. Finally, I pulled out a little drawstring bag I kept in my kit, filled with screws, nails, some bolts, a couple of washers, a key, a marble, etc., spilled them onto the carpet, and invited him to pick them up. (I knew he wouldn't want to, as the Kirby's fan blades are in the head, and could be damaged by things like that). He said "My wife wouldn't be stupid enough to do that." I said "She might, if they rolled under the sofa and she didn't see them." Then I sucked them up with the Lux. THAT was the moment she bought. She turned to hubby and said "It's MY money too, and I want an ELECTROLUX." She bought the upright, a case of bags and a rug-washer attachment. They put it on time payments, which he had to CO-SIGN for. Personally, I think she was dissatisfied with him, and this was her way of electrically cuckholding him with a vacuum. I think he was a loser. Why else would a Kirby salesperson be home in the late afternoon, reading a paper, when that was prime canvassing time? . I wish I had a photo of my branch mgr's face the next day, when I showed him the order! He read it to the entire sales team, I got a standing ovation, and as I'd been there less than a year, I also got the "North Jersey Rookie of the Month" award. . BTW: They were late every month. In those days, when a payment was late, WE had to collect the money. Every month, I knocked on their door for payment; every month, he'd say "Don't come back here again", every month I'd tell him "Make your pymnts on time and you'll never see me here again." That went on until I left to sell cars. . I've made sales with much bigger commissions. but never one which felt that good! . May your products suck, and may you clean-up as a result! Oh, and I own an Aerus-Lux still. The machine will prbly outlive me. .

I don’t see anything very helpful here! I just bought a stick animal hair V8 on my first time trying it out , only a minute later the brush stopped working, I stopped pressing the button then tried again, it went for a few seconds and stopped again! I’m really fed up it’s never been used, so there was nothing info to help me. My husband used to fix things for me, he passed away last year , so I have no one now. To help. Regards., Christine. 🥺

I bought a C1 last year and I am so happy with it! I have always had canister vacuums and when my Simplicity Wonder died, I replaced it with the Miele. Any time I have the opportunity to purchase German, that is my first choice.

Hi I’d like a new dust filter for my Hoover Max Extract Pressure Pro Model 60.

Without a vacuuming (like a Green Machine) all you are doing is mixing the dirt with the foam. The dirt stays in the carpet.

What are they trading them in for?

Why should we not buy a vacuum cleaner online? Is it because they can come with issues or?

It is a good machine with good filtration. But, for the record, it is not HEPA filter. They call it "hospital grade" which I think is a made-up term. It is good, it is fine, but not HEPA. I did just buy one today, from a local vacuum store. My salesman said that one advantage of it not being HEPA is the bags are a little cheaper than machines that are HEPA.

“Think about trading this in…because Dumping a container? Not a good idea.” That’s a very biased statement. It all depends on what your needs are and what your preference is. If you have serious life threatening allergies, taking a bag out and disposing of it is for sure a good idea. However if you have a good strong immune system and you would prefer not to have to deal with the cost of replacing vacuum bags, emptying a container is without a doubt a good idea. I don’t mind that there’s better vacuums than Dyson, what I mind is how a lot of people are biased towards bagged machines. The choice between a Bagged vacuum and a Bagless vacuum all depends on what your needs and preferences are! Make no mistake about that!

“You need to get your Dyson into the local vac shop no matter how well it’s running, no matter how long you’ve had it.” No I don’t, I know perfectly well how to service them myself. I collect and restore vacuums. I have over 14 Dyson vacuums and I know perfectly well how to keep them up and running myself. I have the skills and techniques, so I don’t need a vac shop to keep my vacuums up and running.

Let be Honest most of these machines will last more like 40 years with good care, i am still using my 30 year old Renaissance Daily and i love this machine, i also have a epic 6000 Sr from 1992 that is basically the same machine but with the steel wands and not the plastic ones that runs like a champ, the only real problems with these machines are the Power nozzle necks, they are just not made to hold up over time but if you get a couple of them when you get the machine your are pretty much set for life,

I recently was in the market for a new vacuum cleaner. Changing from a canister (Miele) to an upright. I brought a bag of cat litter (clean) to the store to use instead of the usual pink stuff the store has. I was all set on getting a Sebo upright - until I took a handful of my cat litter and tossed it onto the floor, some on rug and most on the tile floor. The Sebo couldn't make a dent in picking up the cat litter which was made from paper with some pine crumbles mixed in. I was shocked as was the sales person. I purchased a Riccar P25.2 Pet vacuum. It is wonderful and picks up everything it finds in it's path. It works on my hardwood floors and a couple of area rugs. The Riccar doesn't care - dirt and cat litter out of my way.

Aerus is Greek for air.. In German , Danish, Swedish, Norwegian , the word "LUFT" meaning air in English would be much better than Aerus... I recommend Aerus very Highly.. I have got a old Electrolux Silverado Deluxe... It still works. very well to this today.. Wal Mart vacuum cleaners are down right "Scrap." You get very good quality with Areus..

I have one, from SEBO UK. It's brilliant and the only cylinder vacuum you can buy in England with a motor powered head. Miele are good BUT not as good!
