Over the bank into the paddock
Переглядів 54Рік тому
Coming home from work I wasn't paying close attention to where my tires were when going around a turn on a dirt road. Touched the gravel left behind from the grader with the front left wheel and completely lost control, ended up in a paddock. I was completely unharmed and the car had only minor damage to the front bumber.

Thank you for uploading this, so many memories
When NZ gets done with the liability of outmoded fragile costly highways which will eventually bankrupt communities over time, railways, robust & efficient with 21st Century technologies must be the future !
I been on old Hamersley iron ore trains from mt tom price iron ore mine when i was in grade 6 1988 and stayed at Pilbara camp school in dampier w.a Australia
Correction, Bordertown is actually a misnomer it is NOT on the Border of South Australia and Victoria, the border is actually 10+Kilometers east of the town , the township of Wolseley is actually closer than Bordertown, although it is not on the Highway linking both States.
This South Aussie loves ALL Australian steam.
loved watching this
Scott mcgregor visit cowra depot
Love this ..but it's Friday night and 2024❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Worked for a few years on the Trans/nullarbor and loved it. Cook was a good town.
Is that green engine still around?
I want to go road trip from Gympie down to Canberra and the railways I saw from from Gympie to Glen Innes we’re just screwed many of the old wooden bridges were burnt down because of the bushfires I think
Used to love watching this back in the early 2000 's
In Red Dead Redemption 2, I named my horse Shadowfax "The Lord of ALL Horses" in honor of this movie (and for Blanco)
Thanks for posting, had this record once, grate to hear the great voice of John Blackman r.i.p.

6:55 - Saigon to Seville, what a journey! If you also count the train between Johor, Malaysia to Bangkok and a short flight to Saigon, that would be truly the trip of a lifetime.
I watched every day and saturday mornings, often sending my name in for Ossie's Wheel .. When I was 9 I was staying at my Nans for school holidays and nagged her to send in for the wheel, we posted it on the thursday and Saturday morning Darryl called! I was watching just minutes before and my nan made me come to the table for breakfast and I had just sat down when the phone rang. I won an Action Jackson but being a girl Darryl asked if I would like the Wendy Boston teddy bear instead and i was stoked cause it's what I actually wanted lol. 1974 was the year and I still have my teddy 50 years ago seems so unreal and I googled a few years ago to see if the show was recorded and read that nothing prior to 75 was kept, such a shame.. my Nan passed in 2019 she was 97 and would have loved to see or hear it again. we talked about it so many times over the years.. such a great memory.. thanks Darryl & Ossie xx
when the zaza hits quicker than u expected 2:55
Scott talking about the gauge at 2:23 seems like banter but in reality it was the worst planning decision Australia has ever made
B/Brilliant !!
This is a good train travel series. The host is low key and genuinely interested in the people and culture.
Surprised he didn’t visit the puffing Billy railway up in the Dandenong ranges
The Yaraka line did close in 2005 and the school was closed shortly after.
35:13 nursing Prince William (who was an infant at the time) who is now Prince of Wales
Sad
Murder!
G'day Scott from South Texas. Awesome documentaries. Got them downloaded and watched over and again. Stunning. Keep up the incredible work. You are truly an Australian legend. And well deserved.
You need to repeat this journey in 2024 Scott and see how much has changed, would be most interesting, great video.
You were lucky to get off at Peterborough, Indian Pacific no longer stops there, I had to get a poky little bus from Adelaide to get there. You need to get back there Scott and do it all again, a lot has changed with railway history in Peterborough, you forgot "Bob the Railway Dog" too on your visit.😉
Nice to see the rail adventures in the shaky isles. I wonder how much still exists. It would make an interesting holiday experience for the railway heritage fans like me.
Wonderful , just wonderful
Yes This I Love Mickey Mouse Track Was Featured At The End Of Hey Hey By Request 2 Show 3 From 1997.
Well Scott maybe all those lost railwayman might be in the same place as all those railway signs stolen from Carcoar Station. Your shop.
I last listened to this when I was 6 or 7, so a lot of the jokes went over my head, but 34:04 "Are you Grotty at the base?" "Oooh I certainly am" - omg!
I’ve been to that railway station in Adelaide. It’s still as gorgeous today.
Fantastic 🎉
Byron Bay or the lighthouse aren't the first to sunlight in Australia, Wollumbin known as Mount Warning is.
I been on these iron ore trains from wombat Junction tomprice to parker point dampier in late 1980.s
My great uncle Patrick hannan found gold at Kalgoorlie in late 1800.s
73 loco is from Canberra railway museum
Your a real legend for uploading these 😁
9:19 which led to many miners leaving the Victorian Goldfields and making the long and arduous trek across the Nullarbor Plain to Western Australia
A 20 minute civil war
10:32 most of them came from Victoria where they were escaping the fallout from the Eureka Stockade and the harsh gold-licensing laws in force in Victoria at the time.
10:25 by an Irish Vagabond by the name of Paddy Hannan.
9:43 thus creating the world's longest stretch of dead-straight Railway Track which spans 478km between Watson in South Australia and Nurina in Western Australia.
8:54 apparently some West Australians weren't sold because WA voted 3 - 1 to secede, but that was quickly knocked on the head by the UK Parliament which caused a lot of anti-British sentiment amongst the people of Western Australia.
april fools
My grandad got me the VHS tapes through a newspaper when I was 7. 20 years later, still got them, still cherish them. So glad to see these pop up on YT, after all these years. Thank you so much for uploading them!!
