Hey there, not sure if you can help out. I have this receiver, and today it is locked in FM tuner mode when you turn it on. Won't change inputs or even channels. When I turn it on it bypasses standby and immediately goes to FM tuner. I'm at a loss

I have the RC 10’s and the RC 30’s. My RC 10’s have never been played. The RC 30’s are in my living room They need power. I use a 125 watt per channel receiver. I bring the front of the towers 30 inches from the wall and give them juice. You’d be amazed.

these budget akai decks were everywhere in the 70s. they were the cheapest good deck you could buy.

I got this deck in early 1980's. I really liked the LED meters but two color woulda been better. Minor carping as this deck offered both Dolby B and C. I also liked the full logic controls. I had it a few years before trading up to a more elaborate deck.

this 80´s turntable that at the time i talked bad about the excessive use of plastic ,now i recognise they were very good as none of the new wave of this...vinyl readers have at least till 2.000€ 1/10 of the quality of any 80´s turntable so a very nice one you have there if not sounding perfect to you just buy a new cartridge and you´ll be satisfied

this was a nice deck i had a later HX-1 but we changed it all with the parts from a more modern stopped GX-9 not that far from the HX-1 release which the keys were very nice and still work perfect today, Akai was a real good brand in tape recorders, as my 1970 crossfield X-165D is still working perfect, a open reel deck with the cover which is rare to see today

We use JBL for our personal set ups !

I know these get a lot of hate from audiophiles. But, they are such a bargain on the second hand market. It seems like a great option for a budget tv setup.

I'm a fan a JBL. I bought a pair of JBL Northrigde outdoor speakers and was very impressed with them. I more recently bought a JBL BlueTooth headset for about $40 and love them as well.

These are great cd players. Mellow sound of the DAC is nice. They are also built really well. Pick one up. Have a couple myself
