Really good presentation, but there was an additional twist in that situation and that was the role of the Premiers of Qld and NSW in relation to Senaye vacancies. A Qld Senator had died and Premier Sir Joh Bjelke-Petersen defied convention and did not appoint a Labor replacement, he recommended Albert Field a Labor leaning independent who despised Mr. Whitlam. There was also a NSW Senate vacancy and NSW Premier Tom Lewis did the same as Sir Joh. If these Premiers had followed convention and appointed Labor Senators, the supply issue wouldn’t have arisen. Curiously though the 2 Premiers,( now both dead.), escaped scrutiny for their role.
fantastic videos, mate!

Hi there thanks for you vid, well done for making this content. I just wanted to point out what I believe is an error that you should correct. We don’t have a “two-party preferred” system. That terminology describes a way of estimating the outcome of an election for a seat by considering only two parties as potential winners and the preferences likely to flow their way from other parties voted-for in that electorate. It’s a term used on election night quite frequently. I think you are confusing it with the fact that it is only one of two major parties that seems to get elected each time.
Australia does not have compulsory voting. We have compulsory attendance, once you have your name marked off you can just walk out and not vote
I had no idea American presidents were so wealthy!
Sadly the No campaign did not understand our Constitution, and why the Voice was being sought. Australia is a federation. The powers to make law have to be divided between the states and Federal parliaments. The Federal parliament can only make laws about the matters set out in the Constitution- which are mostly set out in s51 (It is a bit more complex). If the power is not in the Constitution then it lies with the states. The power to make laws about a particular race about whom laws need to be made was already in the Constitution. But here is what no one on either side mentioned. Originally this section said (except about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. This meant the states made those laws. In 1967 Australia voted overwhelmingly, not only to counter ATSI Australians, but to remove that exception so that the power to make laws about ATSI Australians was given to the Federal Parliament. In practice the only race about whom laws are made are ATSI people. We know there is a gap between ATSI Australians and non Aboriginal Australians, so yes Mr Mundine there are specific issues that need to be addressed. It is the gap that is divisive. It is not divisive to acknowledge the gap. The Voice was about giving ATSI Australians a mechanism in having a say about the affairs that do affect them, and not having that mechanism just abolished if it trod on toes. ATSIC may have had problems, but the answer was reform not to abolish it. The few prominent Aboriginal Australians against the Voice did not represent the majority of the views of ATSI people, who are arguably most affected by the gap, given the results we saw from remote communities who voted overwhelmingly Yes. However, I think Warren Mundine was correct- had it been legislated for and given a chance then it may have got through later. I think the concern was that a Coalition government would have abolished it when they came to power.
Ryan was gang
It is actually a really good policy!
Why would we want to be replaced in our own country? If we Import 10 million Indians then its India and not Australia. Different races do not assimilate the same way white people do.
So how much would Pay the Rent cost..?
Simply NO
Why not?
Love your work but I have to admit that half way through because of the music I felt like I was on hold waiting for the next operator to take my call lol

Unit 3 Legal Studies, anyone?
Bro you’re working hard... I don’t know when you started your channel but you need to promote it.... And I have a doubt...What’s the conflict “Australian soft coup”
a competent gvt could match market rates by policy, but reserve some power of control in a crisis.
Easier said than done
why would you give up that power? & isnt everything ultimately pegged to whatever the reserve hapns to be - you can call it market forces, but it is foreign control.
This is great! It's about time someone made videos like this.
Thanks so much Patricia, stay tuned for more videos in due course.
