@@grandflash1347 In all truthfulness, it's a Kingston acoustic-electric. '74 to '82. But it could have been made Pre 1972 international Madrid international trademarking laws. The research I was able to obtain it does seem that it might have been a subsidiary of fender or at least had licensing agreement to have the fender headstock. I would like to at least think that with or without permission it's still got made and it has a beautiful sound. I did post a video in my gear talk section where I do show about how recording but I am planning on doing a whole in depth series. Where I'll break it down from turning it on to recording music to adding effects and EQ and the mastering. If there's something specific just ask me directly and I'll try to answer

Every attempt I've made to find software that decrypts the .16g file format has fallen flat. That said, the files are mostly uncompressed aiff audio which with some work can be extracted the hard way

Not sure if anyone would be interested, but as mentioned, I wrote this song while walking the streets and playing my guitar. For two weeks. I sat and played this riff. Walking down the street as I played. Wrote the whole lyrics when I heard a catchy statement while washing cars on the side of the street one day. That became the chorus and the rest just came out naturally.

Honestly the memory storage. The Mark 1. Featured here is the 16g storage as the 1600 is the same or have more. Though if it's the Mark 2 wil have more storage. The main difference is the amounts of direct mic inputs from both versions. The Mark 1 has 2mic inputs. The Mark 2 has 8mis inputs. Both can record 8 tracks at once. I will always suggest do your research. Don't take my word for it. I will share what I know. I wish I had double checked before replying but I wanted to help. A1. Peace and Ja Love.

I have both the 1600 has usb.The control surface thru usb works with most daws to this day mainly Cubase.A vocal pitch correction and like the fella in the comments said it has 8 inputs while the 16g has 2 mic pre's and 6 inputs and no vocal correction and a 20 gig HD While the 1600 has a 40 gig HD.Other wise the the same unit.

@@Diddddu ah it can be used as a controller over USB, very good to know. Also the 1600 has "loop sampling" but I don't know what that is. The 16 has a 'pitch corrector' function but it's very clunky, more like a pitch nudger you might adjust a mistake by hand with

Many Memory and Mic Inputs. The 16g Mark 1 has 16g memory and 2mic inputs. The Mark 2 has 8mic Inputs and maybe more memory. There is a 2400 something verison too. Might have the name wrong. Good Eye and Yes. That was what I found. The 16g Mark 1 has 16g storage. As the Mark 2 has the same if not more storage. The way to spot the difference between the two is as you noticed. The 2mic inputs for the Mark 1 and the 8mic Inputs in the Mark 2. Both can recorded 8 tracks at once. Sorry for the late reply. A1. Peace and Ja Love.

aw1600 is usb compatible. the G is not.

In the menu that gets brought up when you select Effects 1 and 2. You should be able to hit the dial button to get to the send effect menu and then select what tracks you want the effect to be active on. You can only use a max of two effects on each project. All the tracks in the project will have to share the two effects you choose. You can't not have more than that.

Rad! Any clue how to help me with my question above? It is driving me crazy The manual is not clear how to make effects assignable to EACH track simultaneously. Thanks!

@@superdoov I just bought one at a thrift store for 20 bucks. Coincidentally, it had had a mouse nest in it and had urine and droppings all over it. I sat up all night taking it apart cleaning it inside and out with compressed air, electronic cleaner, and The outside casing with vinegar. Amazingly the thing seems to be working. Although I haven’t recorded anything yet. Usually to get an effect across all the tracks, you add it to the master stereo track. I’m going to be experimenting with the recorder today and will revisit if I learn anything helpful.
