This sermon was preached by Jason Meyer at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis the Sunday after George Floyd died. One year prior, Joe Rigney posted an article to desiring God called "The Enticing Sin of Empathy," something he would develop and expound upon on Doug Wilson's "Man Rampant." Though there were other significant internal stresses between Bethlehem's different campuses as well as between the Bethlehem College & Seminary and Bethlehem church, this clip provides insight into the tensions that were rising within the Bethlehem community, and may be an example of what Rigney refers to "untethered empathy."
