Is *Guangzhou* one of the richest cities in China? Although on "China's Richest Cities Top 10" lists Guangzhou usually takes a number 4 or 5 spot, right after Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen, these lists usually only look at the GDP of Chinese cities.
The fact is that the cost of living in Guangzhou is much, much lower than in other big Chinese cities like Shanghai or Beijing, while the salaries are comparable, making the inhabitants of Guangzhou comparatively wealthy.
In this China walk we join the locals for a night stroll along, and across, the beautiful Pearl river. On the north side of the river we walk through a park with dozens of tents, where the people of Guangzhou are picnicking while enjoying the Guangzhou skyline. Then we take walk on the recently built pedestrian bridge, which eventually leads us to the famous Canton Tower!

🇨🇳 Chinese introduction: 这个视频拍摄于今年十月底，在广州天河和海珠区的交界处。从天河区的海心沙亚运公园开始，途径二沙岛艺术公园，海心桥，最终到达位于海珠区的广州塔脚下。这是广州珠江沿岸风景的精华之一。
其中，二沙岛艺术公园钻石草坪上的帐篷区让我十分惊艳。一顶顶帐篷被闪烁的串灯装饰得温馨浪漫，虽然这只是广州一个十分平常的周末夜晚，但置身其中，却有一种参加音乐节，欢度一个大party的感觉。
海心桥，被广州人亲切的称呼为“小凤眼”，广州塔被形象的叫做“小蛮腰”。站在海心桥上，望着小蛮腰绚烂的灯光秀，吹着凉爽的江风，珠江上来来往往的船只，两岸建筑群和缤纷灯光组成的绚丽风景尽收眼底。
希望广州能顺利平稳地度过眼下的难关，希望她始终是一个亲切美丽的宜居城市。
