Thank you for this presentation. I am planning to switch careers and go into environmental science because for years I have grappled with that same question: "What did you do to protect this planet's natural resources when you knew the state of the climate decades ago?" We have a responsibility to future generations; I hope more people begin to realize this.

I am proud you are doing this and helping citizens feel a connection to the outdoors. This is a positive healthy thing to do. After 33 years working for Ky Division of Water and helping train citizens in Water Watch, I am all for these kinds of tools to help citizens. When you appreciate nature, I think you litter less.

I remember this well because Madisonville volunteered to give up our Thanksgiving holiday to give our friends in that area a break so they could be with their families. The second day I was there a woman drove her car off the mountainside due to slick roads and was killed as I was trying to get from the motel to the job site. It was a busy time until we returned home.

My first day at the cave was Earth Day 1990, when it still smelled like an open sewer. A year later, I helped survey the cave for the first time in the modern period, and found myself swimming with blindfish. A great success story! It shows how responsible stewardship and public support can turn an ecosystem back from the brink of death.

Tell me that wasn't one hell of a ride.... Perfect editing, Great video. This is the way to watch these videos. Please do more if you get the chance. I know several guys that just work on recovering and putting these trains either on ther way, Or in this case on there way to beings rebuilt or scrapped for parts. Its a fantastic job, But you have to be ready to go to work pretty fast. And at times in some pretty nasty environments.
