Did it fix it?
Yes it did
@@gooutsideandride damn mines the window. Drain plugs were good. Thanks for the video and response.
2019 ram Warlock with normal open, close, vent Sunroof, not panoramic sunroof. mine has been in 3 times for water leaks, and this last time, they can't get it to leak after an hour of letting a water hose sit on it and it leaked within 5 minutes of me doing it. I think they're just playing the system, doing nothing and getting more money. I'm going back tomorrow morning and having them show me exactly what they did for myself because I don't truly believe they did anything
Honestly, all cars and trucks are garbage. I've had Chrysler, GM, and Ford and they all suck. Lease them for 2yrs and kick the can down the road and get a new one. I think the only car you can buy is Toyota.
Itll be a cold day in hell before i buy a dodge ram or any fiat built vehicle.
I love having American pride....but in this day of age and prices for trucks. I think it's going to be a Toe-yoda for me !
That’s FCA for you!
That's everyone with a panoramic roof. 🤦♂️
@@JohnDoe-nz6bk Disagree, my 2016 XLT did leak, my 2019 does not, yes i know there are channels/weep holes for the water to drain, but they must have figured out a better way to divert the water, not on your lap.
Justin Torgerson really?? My 2015 xlt eco crap leaked android rattled. So did my ram. Look it up pal, they all have problems.
My 2020 1500 is leaking on the front driver side.
Joel Smerber wow crazy to hear this is still an issue with the 2020 trucks
I bought 2019 this year took it the dealer 3 times in less than month & they haven’t been able to fix this issue for me . Did u find out where the leak is coming from
I have a 2019 Limited and I just found a huge amount of mold in the rear. Ugh! I have to go to the dealer.
What ended up happening? Yikes :(
@@rkalla The dealer fixed the leaking roof. They cleaned most of the mold but not all. Even the front floor mats were moldy. They looked just dirty but they were not dirty, they were moldy. As far as I know, there have been no more leaks.
Thanks a million bro and I hope the dealer fix the problem and pay you for helping them by making this video. Good luck 😎👍🙏
Excellent and sincere informative and coverage illustration of tube location. I'm glad someone cares about detail and others. Keep up the great work. So were you able to reach those drain tubes and properly seat them? Did the water leakage stop? I have a 2019 Laramie 1500 with panoramic sunroof and will go inspect my drainage tubes. Thanks again much. I've noticed the bed tailgate cables don't evenly support the tailgate when it's opened in the down position. Never had a vehicle with tailgate cables not both being equally taught. Very strange
Thank you for the positive words. Once I got the drain tubes properly installed the leakage stopped and they have not came out again. I feel that they were forgotten about at the factory. My tailgate too has that problem very strange to me that they left the trucks go like that. The problem I am facing right now is subpar AC performance. Has been 90+ degrees in North Carolina and constantly have to leave the AC on low and highest fan speed. Truck never really cools way down
@@gooutsideandride Glad you solved the leak problem. Doesn't the AC work on medium or high setting? I'd think the AC on a 2019 Ram would be absolutely amazing, and it should be! Why constantly leave it just on low? I'd really think and hope the dealer should care and resolve all these issues no problem on new vehicles. I think the dealer often doesn't know how to fix the problems until the manufacturer sends out a recall and exact instructions how to easily fix the problem. I mean to have to remove the bed just to access those drain tubes is crazy. Sometimes though a major operation is involved just in order to fix a small simple problem. I haven't used the AC much yet, but it didn't seem to work that great. I have the heated and cooled bench style front seats, the heating is good but I don't yet notice much air blowing through the tiny holes even on the high setting. I didn't have the AC on for this, just the blower fan. I can hear it blowing under or in the seat but no wind. Maybe I need to wait until it gets much hotter. It's been mostly cool and comfortable up here in South West NY. I really do like the look of the Ram though, both inside and outside better than the Fords or Silverados. All the best
@@Hundert1 I bought the truck because it had the best looks and interior out of the big three manufactures and I still overall am satisfied with my decision. I have to keep the temperature setting consistently on low in order to maintain a fairly cool cabin in 90+ degree days. There is a number of people on the Ram forums complaining of the same thing. I am not sure if a problem like this could be remedied. I have a feeling Ram will fix it in production and the existing owners will get nothing because its not safety related. I hope not, that's my thoughts though. I have an appointment tomorrow for ceramic tint for the windshield and sun roof so hopefully this helps.
I have a 2015 Ram 1500 with the chronic 3rd brake light leak. Dealer replaced it after about a year, and now that it's out of warranty, I'm discovering that it's leaking again. ...is it really that hard, Ram?
Curious how you were able to push the drain tube back in?? I just checked my brand NEW 2019 Rebel and the driver side is completely out. Thanks for the information.
I was able to reach my hand up from the bottom and push it in by hand.
J Hoose Thanks I will do the same.
All new vehicles have issues that come up there is not any truck manufacturer that has a clean record! iv owned all brands of trucks they all got their problems. I just get tired of seeing comments saying rams bad has too many problems blah blah blah....
Thanks for your video, I have the same problem and I was able to put the seal correctly after you show and explain how. Did you fix the problem once you put in the proper position?
Sergio F yes after pushing the seals back in I have had no other water problems with the truck. The carpet dried up and does not have any odor to it whatsoever and we have had 90 degree weather here.
@@gooutsideandride Thanks, I just corrected, I am not very confident that end in the perfect place but looks good. I will wait for the next rain, I am in Miami.
You shouldn’t do anything to a $50K brand new vehicle besides driving it. Look at multiple complaints and videos by people. People please do your research before buying these fiat trucks.
Unacceptable for a $50k truck. Looks great, but Dodge has always had quality issues.
Every American auto maker has issues. They just don’t get they have to change or they’ll collapse. (Yes im a ‘14 Ram owner already). 🇨🇦
It's not even about being a chevy, ram or ford guy anymore. We need to admit that American car manufacturers are joke when it comes to quality control and long term reliability. All they think about it making profits and not thinking about consumers satisfaction.
I don't trust dodge I've had problems with their products before. I love their new trucks but I just can't buy one.
Chevy and fords sometimes leak also.
The biggest problems with vehicles occurs at the first three years of manufacturing, buying the first model year with an all-new design, pilot versions are the worst. You shouldn't fix that problem yourself bring it in to the dealer and there might be a recall for that issue or at least a TSB. If you manage to fix it yourself you might void warranty...
Fiat junk
Love the Rebel man. Great looking truck
Sorry for your troubles thank God I've never owned one.
Had a similar problem with my canyon. The night i picked it up found the rear carpet was wet. Went back to dealer the next day and didnt see the truck for 7 days. Found a leaky seal around rear sliding window. Had to replace headliner, carpet etc. Dealer gave me a loaner and took care of me thru the whole thing
Never buy the new model of any domestic
Tell that to my tundra has sucked since month 2
Thanks for the video, different issue I had my engine seize south of the boarder on Niagara falls on January 7th (Canadian). Had to have it towed to the local dealer in NY and then have it towed across the boarder on my own expense. Chrysler wouldn't do anything about it and they were pointing fingers at Mr. Lube who did my oil change (similar to Vavoline oil change places in the USA) due to an loose oil filter that caused the engine to seize. Planning to sue Mr. Lube since I don't have $17,567.00 for a new engine. Love the truck though better than Ford which is what I used to drive.
Alain Meakings sorry to hear about your experience man! There are some shady places out there and I definitely has heard some horror stories. Hopefully the shop has insurance and will be willing to help you without having to hire a lawyer!
So far they have denied any wrong doing and are not willing to help at all even their head quarters won't do anything. The truck is a 2018 Ram Sport too so it's not just an entry level truck. @@gooutsideandride
Yet Consumer Reports has the Ram as the best truck to buy.
Consumer Reports and any other reviewer can say anything they want about the best vehicle to buy and be correct, it's a matter of choice. Most any new vehicle unless it's seriously flawed is going to perform like it should. What they can't tell from those short experiences are how they'll hold up long term and that's the most important thing to most buyers. If you want more accurate information go around and talk to independent mechanics and see what they recommend.
fix it again tony..lol
Found on Road Dead Fast only Rolling Downhill Fuked Over Rebuilt Dodge Fix or Repair Daily You punk ass soyboy
lmfao. Follow the king kid. Ram sucks and always will
Thanks for making this. I just bought a rebel 19 and my ford had the same issue
Looks like a pretty easy fix for the dealer.
Not true!
Mine hasn't leaked a drop.
Wow
Most of the RAMs leak from the 3rd break light on the cabin leaks like Niagara Falls !! For the rear carpet and is 99% in most cases
Kokkolino 11 really??
XCALIBUR PERFORMANCE yes my friend also look under the back seats if it is wet!!! The best test to do is get a 3M tape tape the break light well and go through a car wash. No leaks!!! It’s a major issue in all RAMs
Kokkolino 11 will do! Thank you
That's a Furd issue from 04, Furd never fixed.. stfu
RAM TRUCKS maybe Ford had the the same issue as well !!! I’m talking about RAM trucks from 2013 and up !! They have that issue !!!
Why wouldn't you have the dealer fix it? The fix is not going to involve any major tear down. The big problem is the beginning of the mildew. You need to make sure the dealer replaces the carpet. If you don't, every time the weather is hot and humid your going to smell the mildew smell. So do it now while its under warranty and they will pay for the carpet.
Or they will remove seats and carpet and clean it correctly.
Road noise worst of any vehicle I ever had in my 2019 Laramie longhorn
😂 my buddy had a ford that water poured the brake/cargo light the dealership told him to caulk it😂. You get what you pay for! I would tell you to buy Toyota but you have to learn on your own😂 that is until they own the full-size market like the they own the others so bad that the big three are counting to stop even competing- ranger, Cruz or whatever car gam is making/was making
Furd is junk
So with the rear tubes not n place that's why u got damp carpet inside? On the 3rd and 4th gen rams the 3rd brake light leaked its common on most, on my last 2 trucks I've always resealed that light right after purchased just incase of that issue, but how is ya carpet getting wet from the tubes not being n place I mean water supposed to runs through the tubes ya not around it
briann1282 Yes the leak is definitely from the tubes not seated properly and then outside water getting in around the rubber grommets then running down to the lowest point. A month later the water problem has not came back.
I have a 2019 RAM Rebel with the sunroof and the same issue. I took it to my local dealer and they were able to fix it same day. All they had to do was remove the back seat and reinstall the tubes correctly.
Whitch is exactly what he should have done under warranty. Sliding underneath with that distance to reach and so little room between the cab and bed is silly. Even if it gets it pushed back in somehow it's probably going to pop out again. Take it in and get it done right, you'll also want the carpet replaced if it's starting to smell. That's a sign of mold or damage at the least.
how has it been since you took it to the dealer to get the issue fixed? has it happened again?
Ricardo Hyppolite it’s working perfect now. No issues at all and we have had a lot of rain in Cali so glad it got fixed and fixed right. Disappointing that they sold it to me like this.
yea that is disappointing but at least it got fixed and still while it under warranty. Im thinking about getting a rebel with the pano sunroof so im doing my research now on anything that might go wrong and seeing how it has gotten fixed
Minor issue compared to fords door latch issue 😂
That’s the truth. I hated my handles
minor issue...lmfao. Give your head a shake kid. Water and fire are the worst issues for anything.
F-150 KING OF TRUCKS : your right, it’s awesome to have a door fly open on the highway...Ford makes the best truck that are flawless and perfect in every way 😂
Furd EcoBoost brake fires Furd Trannys going into 2nd gear while on freeway Furd Engines blowing out spark plugs List goes on
@@ramtrucks721 follow the king kid..
Thanks for the tip.
Thanks appreciate it man. I wanted to get the same one. I hope they fix it. It’s a beautiful truck
Lol junks
every new production vehicles have there share of problems. they will get u together
@JHoose, I have a 19 rebel quad cab with no sunroof. On my driver side carpet I noticed some wet carpet after taking out my rubber mats. Question - where you have tubes in the door jams I have black rubber seals. Any idea what that's about? I have no drain tubes where you have them.
I absolutely love Ram, but I would not trust any Ram or Fiat product for the first two years. But sometimes I know we get carried away and take the bite. Anyways no excuse. Ram should do better than this.
Same with junky Furd or Chevy.. GTFO soyboy
Learn how to spell dumb ass
My tundra did the same thing at 2k miles so they all suck
@@josh42977 there is no need to be aggressive guys. Let's just lay our problems down so we can have a common resolution.
love your spec
Great video, thank you for taking the time and showing the 4 locations. Where you able to pop them back in w/out much effort or did you have to go back to the dealer?
I was able to get them back in with retaliative ease. Just get one side popped in and work yourself around the grommet.
@@gooutsideandride And did you fix the problem doing that?
Any updates? I’m considering this truck but have reservations now.
I was able to get them popped back in. We have gotten a substantial amount of rain today and the carpet remained dry. I am skeptical of the fitment and do check them on a regular basis to make sure they don't pop out. But so far so good.
I have 2019 BIG HORN , no sunroof, love it , NO problems 👍🏻
Bla Bla same here. 19 Rebel w/o sunroof. They look awesome but glad I didn’t get one. A lot of either leaking window or drain issue.
Mannassa Mauler leaking on sunroof or side windows?
No problem with my panoramic sun roof
I hate wet feet.
