Almost 15 years since I left WCHS and the time I spend in marching and concert band are top of the list for favorite memories. Tallman hasn't aged a day either! So happy these guys are getting the same wonderful experience, it's a fantastic program.

Shown is the Roy Guth farm, on which he and Harv Nafziger farmed. The children are Alice Jean and Shirley Ann Nafziger. The Naffzigers lived in the old farm house, and Uncle Roy built an additional house in 1950 on the farm. Aunt Helen Guth and Harv’s wife Dorothy can also be seen in the video.

They worked so hard for everything they created and sustained.

0:12 #22 Richwood High's, Doug Altenberger. One of the craziest things I ever saw was Doug Lee dropping 18 or so on Hakeem Olajuwon when I was in the 10th grade (1983) and Lee was still at Texas A&M. I was no longer going to Central and living in California and just got home from Basketball Practice. ESPN was brand new in those days but I had a TV and Cable Box in my room so every night as I did homework it seems 2 College Basketball Games would come on, all kinds of matchups. This was the pre-Moses Malone trained version of Dream but if you've ever played against anyone 6'9"+ nothing is easy under the basket. I couldn't believe what I was seeing especially since I never expected to see anyone from Peoria play basketball ever again. Not Tony Wysinger, Boo Johnson, Doug Lee or Doug Altenberger. I'm glad to see that the Peoria area steadily produces great High School teams and legitimate College Players.

Mr. Donald W. Breese was not only my favorite teacher at Central Grade School but the greatest educator I ever had. ✝ Rest in Peace Sir ✝

First to comment but this is an extraordinary find. The locomotive in this video is one of the TP&W’s H-10 Class 4-8-4 Northerns, built by ALCO in 1937. Weighing at 361,000 pounds, the H-10s were the smallest 4-8-4s ever built in the United States. Given how rarely these were photographed, let alone videoed, this could be the only footage of them ever shot. Hats off to you guys, this is some incredible footage

i helped clean up and tear down homes after this storm in washington with team rubicon. never going to forget seeing the buildings go from totally fine to suddenly gone. hard line of distruction. the town rallied around the team. we were invited to the parade for the team.
