Vancouver Island - Another Beautiful Beach
These TBW throttles can be glitchy. I did a hard reset on the ECU and it made the Bike run and start better.
New subscriber, you deserve a lot more subscribers. The best video of our beautiful Provence I have seen in a long time.
Thanks!
Thank you for sharing your video it is beautiful
Thanks for visiting. 😊
That would make an epic camp spot!!
There go those traveling chim-panzies again!
Nice vid guys, wish I was there;)
A couple of cowardly monkees chattering away to themselves, some real chim-pansies!
what's the route to get there? Where do you turn off Healy Creek FSR?
Wunderschön ... 👍👍👍 So etwas gibt es in Deutschland leider nicht ...!
Beautiful. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
Spraying the switch with WD-40 will fix this issue, clear away debris preventing contact
31.15 Beautiful shot , I got family up there I have never been they would not live any where else
pretty snarly "roads"...the whole area is covered with old Crown Grants (mineral) as well as current mineral claims the Abbott was a good producer and is still...most of the old crown grants are still active today...
famous mineral area lots of silver...l had 44 claims right where you are but let them go still have a few just north of that along the same fault...just for fun....
Question, at 8:22 you decided to go to the right side road, can a vehicle fit to go that way?
Yes, you can get to an old rickety bridge over the river up there and then further.
Beautiful...was going to move to Princeton from Vancouver 20 years ago...I am just now making the move at 55...kinda wish I had done it 20 yes ago seeing this kind of beauty...never too late I guess!!! Can't wait!
I was just there last week. It rained a lot.
Howdy and Great Vid, I know this a late post, but here goes. Where do you start the trailhead? I have looked several times and I can't figure it out. Photos from your journey suggest Zincton area? just a guess. Thanks for your consideration.
I think a new road for a mine or something was pushed in a few years ago, which was on top of the old trail and is now private. I'm sceptical you can get up there now.
You paid the gare keeper i see
No, we came up the back side and the tour guide allowed us to look around.
Did you head up blowdown pass while you were there?
No, but I plan on returning with the quad in the fall after some rains.
is the road still open?
Not sure. It was getting sketchy a couple years ago.
Quad and Moto only
Where exactly is this
Up Healy Creek just south of Trout Lake.
So exactly where is this
Take Fore Bay Road to the east end of Diversion Reservoir. Fore Bay Road is just south of Jordan River at the top of the hill.
:) You're killing me!! Great video!! Could you get a trailer into that area?
Yes, it's possible.
But a small one...
Another good video. And a destination idea.... :)
This is really good aerial landscape! I could enjoy watching this video!
Thank you very much!
Nice video
Thanks
@@MrSquidDaddy no problem. I want to get out to the west coast myself.
Holy Crap! The force of water is amazing!
It's been cleared, see my latest video.
Think I can make it up with my RAM 1500? I have good all terrain tires. Everything else is stock.
I saw a couple jeeps make it up, but it wasn't easy. You better have 4x4 to try it with a half ton. Personally, I wouldn't attempt it with a truck . The road is much worse now than in 2016.
Did you follow the road/trail system signed Green Mtn from the sign off the Hurley beside Gwenyth lake?
We went up the easier trail north of there near Downton Lake, then up the twisty higher trail to the summit, then down the upper twisty trail, then down the lower twisty trail to your sign. Either way up or down is pretty straightforward.
I have not seen this part of the KVR❤ beautiful
I travel through there when I get a chance to drive. Good memories of my Dad R.I.P thank you 👍
You're welcome.
Have you gone up past Ferguson going north staying left at the bridge , I've only been up that area once planning on going this year
Yes, but the trail past Ferguson eventually hits private lanc. Nice run to the owner gate though.
What time of year is this
Late summer, early fall.
This us exactly what happens to mine. Did you figure out what it was? Thanks.
It needed a clutch adjustment by a competent mechanic.
@@MrSquidDaddy Thanks for the quick reply! Much appreciated. Any idea if it was the primary or the secondary? I just replaced the secondary spring and installed the Cvtech primary and it did exactly what you showed in the video. Cruising at 5000rpm, let off the gas and no engine breaking with that horrible rattling. I guess I'm not a competent mechanic... lol It would be good to know if it is the secondary or the primary I need to look at. Thank you.
@dsmtsi - All Things Useful I'm not sure, sorry about that. I traded my 850 max xt in for a 650 max xt and the dealer fixed my 🍋 and I went on to enjoy several trouble-free years with my 650.
Love that country camped ar trout lake covered a lot of trails up there definitely going back, especially impressed with the way people stuck to the trails and weren't ripping up the alpine.
does kind of trees it does not burn and not rotten ..
Just got back from this area and ran Tea creek to the end but this is not the same road or views that i was seeing. Tea heads south right toward a Hanging Glacier view with a missing bridge and creek crossing at the end.
I believe this to be Sluicebox Creek.
@@abioticfactor Sluicebox ends at the Heli ski site unless on foot.
Beautiful ride and great video where is the trail head from the pavement? Thx.
About 3km south of Gerrard at the south end of Trout Lake, there is a bridge over the Lardeau River. Hopefully the trail is still open.
How far up Healy Creek FSR can you take a full size rig? And I heard they are deactivating it soon is that true? Thanks in advance
Side by sides or smaller can do it since they can crawl over the deactivation near the start. After that you can go all the way. I haven't been up in a couple years so I'm not sure if they have taken the bridge out over the Lardeau. I've never seen a jeep up there.
Sure they will deactivate it for a caribou more rare then a Sasquatch but yet if they want wood outa there again some day they wont hesitate to reopen the road. Should try mounting your cam on the quad to get better view of the trail. I might check this one out if i have time next week,,,we gotta keep the weeds down..lol Goin to try and get up Healy again this Sat.
Bring a saw to brush the alders out a bit! That trail is getting thick!
@@bonnjohnston9290 It was not that bad at all.
My parents and three older sisters moved to Stewart in 1954. Myself and two more sisters were born in Stewart. We moved away in 1963. My dad worked in several mines in the area, including Granduc. He was an amateur photographer as well and there is an extensive slide show that my younger sister has.
Awesome up there. I didn't make it last time but going again soon in sxs and nervous about it. Wish I would have done it when I had my dirt bike.
We just drove the 36 in our SUV. It took us 3.5 hrs from start to finish. Beautiful, YES. TERRIFYING, absolutely! The hairpin turns, steep drop offs and small lanes are wild. Constant winding with roller coaster 🎢 ups and downs. Its best not to eat prior to leaving🤢🤮 Make sure you use the restroom before leaving and have a spare tire with emergency equipment packed. Bring food with plenty of water. We have t mobile and had cell service for <25% of the highway. Your blood alcohol level needs to be in the NEGATIVE to drive this highway. There are many critters that will run across the road but it is not worth your life hitting the breaks. The semi trucks whizz so closely past you'll get pregnant.😳 If you're an adrenaline junkie this is the road for you. The constant threat of death looms behind EVERY corner. In the end the Avenue of the Giants was 💯 worth it!
Another great video here of the Kootenays. How far legally can you drive a regular vehicle up this road? Not an ATV. Thanks 👍
You can drive to the Camborne Mine Site and a short ways toward Teddy Glacier but Teddy has been washed out badly. You can't drive up Mohawk Creek easily either. The road over the bridge and beyond is supposed to be closed so its all at your own risk physically and financially now.
Thanks for this. Been curious lately about how Anahim Lake looks. For some stupid reason Google hasnt mapped it yet.
Thanks for this. Ive always been curious about this beautiful corner of BC.
You're welcome.
Just think the old timers used to hike up that everyday living in the bottom
Great video I am new subscriber to your channel
WOW, that is a beautiful area! Good to see the fires didn't get in there. It's so close to Lillooet (geographically speaking) I assumed the area was burnt out. Good to see otherwise. My nephew, from Kamloops, was fighting fires this season. 14 hour days with very few days off. It was insane. He made good money, but YIKES, what a grueling job! Thanx for taking us into the shelter at the top of the mountain.
Thanks. We were there for 4 days and saw no burns so all good.
