NEVER BUY A HARVEST RIGHT FREEZE DRYER!!!! ITS A SCAM!!!
Переглядів 27 тис.Рік тому
This shows the difference between harvest right freeze dryer and stay fresh freeze dryers. this shows the design flaws and poor customer service from harvest right, and the STAY FRESH freeze dryer that is far more advanced and reliable. harvest right is a scam company with no morals, and doesn't honor their warranty. there are thousands of customers that have a machine that will never get fixed...

I’ve had my harvest right for two years. I did have a control panel issue which was covered by the warranty. I’ve had really good support when needed. The problems I’ve had and had to call HR usually turned out to be self inflicted. It has run almost continuously since we purchased it, and we’re extremely satisfied with it. Sure, there are some things that could be improved, but the same can be said for the Stay Fresh

Yeah, I'm being told.I need a replacement mother board. But they no longer sell that product , so I'll have to figure that out on my own There's nothing wrong with the machine thatThere's nothing wrong with the machine that I've done. It's gotten old I'm assuming and they basically said oh we changed the model good luck 😢

I can't do a comparison, because I only have a HR, but I strongly disagree with a lot that was said. I've Had My machine since March of 22 and I bought mine on layaway from Tractor Supply, because I had wanted one for several years and and had not ordered one because of the price, and I found one on the floor of the store . His machine Looked like it was beat to- " DAMAGED". Being a retired truck driver, I will say, if you accept something like this without inspecting it, shame on you. I had to pick mine up at the store, so I unpacked it there. It is not an easy machine to move, it is Large, Heavy, and I was 77 at the time. Mine DID NOT work properly out of the box. I called customer service and asked for help.. Over 2 or 3 months we went back and forth with different software programs, I replaced the vacuum sensor (which they sent me no charge), they requested a couple of run histories, During this time, I had both success and failures. One problem I had was I was getting multiple power interruptions with every run ( some would recover and finish and some would not). I decided this problem was due to the house wiring (50's/ 100 amp). To shorten the story, after 3 months of back and forth trying to fix it, they had me pack it up and return it to the factory, (AT THERE EXPENCE), and to be honest, at my age that was a big pain in the ass, They had it for about a month and sent it back, I installed a dedicated circuit to take care of the power problem. It has worked perfectly ever sense. I had my doubts and wondered if I had made a mistake during that first quarter year. But I will say, one young lady stayed with it working with me through the whole time and she was very professional. I have no regrets. To finish this store, I would like to add, There is a learning curve with this process (Not everything will freeze dry) or dry in the same amount of time. I dehydrated for years before buying a FD'er . My dehydrator sits right next to my FD and I use them together. Really dense foods like sauces need to be turned over to expose the bottom and or broken up to expose the middle, if you don't give it some attention towards the end to make it easier for it to do it's job, it could take hours to finish, I dry by weight loss (grams) per tray, over 2 or 3 hour periods, when it stops losing weight, it's done. I sometimes, if I am not happy with the way it is finishing or I think it is taking to long, I will move it to the dehydrator to take out the last little bit of water,. This does work, and since most of the water is already gone, it doesn't shrivel like just dehydrating. If you are interested in freeze drying get a machine, If you can't afford one, try to find like minded people in your area to form a group and pool your money and just take turns. Harvest Right used to be the only option, but they aren't any more, although I think they are a good machine, I don't know if they are better or worse than others. Just keep in mind, this is You tube, there are as many opinions as back sides and not everyone who has an opinion has a machine. Some just want to muddy the water. Do your own research

I've had my HR for 2 1/2 years. Most of the time it just sits and takes up spaace, as I'm a long-haul truck driver....BUT....when I'm home, it is run 24/7 the entire time I'm home. It's how I keep from eating fast food and truck stop fare. NEVER had an issue with it, pump shuts off at end of cycle, machine beeps to let me know it's finished. And it runs every time, even with sitting for months not being used.

He knows what he is talking about. We have a medium HR and have had nothing but problems. We are still waiting for an answer to our mid batch heater failure. This is the third. We have been working with one tech at HR for close to a month now and just talked to him today again and he has put us off again till next week. We have also paid for a new shelving unit ( now with 5 shelves)$459 but it has never been shipped and we are requesting a refund which we may or may not ever get and this was after paying $75 for new plugs which did not fix anything. Now they are saying we may have to send in the screen and relay board. which will be at our cost. I frankly am afraid to send anything in. The tech that has been working on our problems for weeks can't remember what he has told us from the last call. We are just sick. They cost way too much for us to have to work on and depend on someone that doesn't have time to follow through with a support ticket. We have ordered a StayFresh after seeing the difference between the guts of both. It is like night and day...or a toddler's knowledge verses PHD knowledge. Save yourself a lot of frustration and grief. If not StayFresh look elsewhere but Harvest Right is throwing these things together and they seem to not know how to fix their mess of a machine. We will probably sell ours for junk as it is a piece of junk. Almost 3 K down the drain.

I've had two HR Freeze Dryers and have not had hardley any issues. Only with one. Started with a small unit and quickly realized it was too small. Upgraded to a large and have only had one issue with a motherboard that was promptly replaced by HR and they did it without ANY cost to me! Completely under warranty and HONORED without issue! Not sure where your scam theory is coming from! This small company has had some growing pains as their business exploded. All companies that have fast paced growth spurts have issues now and then. I do hope that Stay Fresh is paying you well! I'll stick with my tried and true Harvest Right!

I can verify that the Harvest Right service department is inept. I have owned the large freeze drier for over a year. It has not worked for more than a month without issue. I have had to tear the machine apart and figure out how to repair it. The repairs involve hours of speaking with harvested rights service department techs who seem to be guessing on what might be wrong and send parts that u must figure out how to install. In the end they run you out of the warranty period and you are left with a paperweight. I have never wasted so much time working on a product that i have purchased. This includes my car.

So to continue the saga. Harvest Right did finally send me a replacement model and extended the warranty. It worked great out of the box! For six batches...and now? Vacuum leaks. So disappointing. I now have a vacuum-leak machine in the basement, a broken unit on the patio, and three vacuum pumps that can't hold a vacuum...chinese parts? Poor engineering? Lousy management? Overtaxed manufacturing? Choose your number and take your pick and spin the wheel!

What this guy says is true. Three HR FD over a period of 10 years. Three FD that didn’t work out of the box. It seems like the same issues occur time after time and the issues that have not been fixed over the years. Not only that but their support is horrible. Your HR machine will have a problem. You’ll submit a ticket via their website. Several days later they’ll send you an email with several choices of setting an appointment several days later. Hopefully one of those days/times work. So you’re at least a week later before you can talk to someone. You may ask why I bought HR. At the time I purchased these they were the only game in town. I had faith they would send me a quality product. Did they? NOPE!!!

I have (2) Harvest Right FD's and this guy is correct. The Warranty is non existant and they say they have 6000 service techs ha ha ha ha ha never met one. Every time mine break they give you the same song and dance they give everyone, they say its a problem with the program, they want you to down load yours on a thumb drive and send it to them. Then they pretend they looked at it and they say try this program, of course the one they send NEVER loads to the machine. When my first one quit because their 1400 dollar Communist Chines Oil Less pump quit after 6 loads I could not use it. They said it was 6 days out of warranty, they would not even sell me a rebuild kit until I threatened them, then they want 400 dollars for the kit, I declined. I looked on line and you can buy the whole Communist Chinese pump delivered for 375 dollars and it ships from China. They won't even let you speak to a technician until you give them a Credit card number to charge for the info. After it stopped working again. and watching ton's of other people with the same problem of no heat going to trays I found out it was the Communist chinese made "Relay Board" they would NOT supply one so I ordered 2, one to put in and one for a spare. While I was waiting for parts I bought a second freeze dryer from a Distributor close to me so I had something that worked, 7 months later into a (3) year warranty it broke and they gave me all the BS as the first time, they wanted me to ship it back to them and they wanted me to pay the shipping both ways, I said no just send me a "Relay Board" so I could fix this one, she said no that I had to send it back so they could check it. I installed my other spare relay board from the first machine in it and it worked fine. If you buy a harvest Right FD make sure you buy PLENTY of spare Relay Boards as they are ALL made in China and soon you won't be able to get them. After i told them I needed a relay board for the second machine she said they would NOT send me one BUT if I went online and gave them (5) GOOD REVIEWS on the websites she provided to me that she would " Credit me" 100 Dollars to go towards the ( under Warranty) parts I needed to fix my machine MYSELF. I do NOT believe they are made in the USA like they bragg about as everything that broke on mine so far is ALL Communist Chinese, I think the whole machines are all Communist Chinese JUNK!!!

Please tell everyone you know if you send Harvest Right over $4,000, you may be STUCK with a junk appliance that they will not stand behind! They have given empty promises, period. Shame on them! I will dedicate myself to contacting, ranting, and notifying everyone possible. People...please know...buying from them is a gamble. You may lose your money, too.
