Gearbox Ratio Change Part 1

Gearbox Ration Change Cluster Removal Part 1 As I spoke about in the film the Vauxhall 2l engine and close ratio F20 gearbox came from a vehicle with much bigger wheels, my mini has smaller wheels so the rotate faster. In doing this, it is fast on acceleration but with no top end speed, also always changing gear and no need for first gear as the ration is too low. It’s always like driving down ...

Freelander Great Heater Checking Out Blower Temperatures

Just a quick one of me testing out the air-con and the heater on the Freelander. By just using a simple temperature gauge from evidence, which I have read, working on the fact that if it is 10 degrees outside temperature, then the air-con temperature should be between 5-8 degrees. However, on a very hot day of about 20 degrees the air-con could be about 8 or 9 degrees. In this case, the car air...

The column I used was from a corsa with adjustable tilt, so I just welded it up. Have you seen the rubber donut change to springs, it makes a different car to drive. I would go to the engine ecu, and check for powers and grounds. However, with no spark, or injectors, I would first check at the engine ecu for feed from the crank sensor as this is the main trigger input for both spark and injectors. See if you can get a diagnostic tool and check out live data for both. This should point you in the right direction. This is the type of diagnostics which I teach at college. Please keep me informed.

If you can dry out the cylinder head area and do if possible a coolant pressure test to check for leaks, or run the engine for some time to create water pressure. Next check for leaks, be careful of starting rad fans and hot engine parts. Could the leak be from some where else, just for my records for viewing what country are you from.
