I have been looking for this film for YEARS. I watched it once as a child, and it stuck with me. I truly believe it fostered my love for the oboe. I’m 22 now, and I’m so happy to finally have the name of this film, and to hear this beautiful oboe again. Wow. Wow! I remember sitting on my grandma's carpet completely glued to the tv screen when I watched this as a kid. I was only about 5 or 6 years old then and I've been searching for this movie since. I can't believe I finally found this!

Same here!!! XD I seen this movie when I was very little. I think they have the original japanese one on dvd. I seen Another movie by the same person thinking it was this lol. It's called The Sea Prince and the Fire Child. This IS out on dvd!
