Weaning Piglets and Moving Them to Their New Home
In today’s video we go over how we weaned our piglets, we get them loaded up to take them to their new home, and look ahead to the next farrowing as well! We are trying something new with these pigs - we’ll be rotational grazing them like we do with our cows. We have learned a lot these first few weeks having newborn piglets and watching them grow up. They’ll grow out until about February/March, right around the same time we would like to have more baby piglets born!

Starting a Farm from Scratch - Our New Land Tour
You do an AMAZING job with your coop! I’m so impressed! And with a full time job and family. I’m a new sub. Good luck to you🙌🏽
Can you share the specs on the expanded metal? Would like to know the opening size and thickness.
Super nice build this is more of what a working man needs
some of my eggs outside (the shell) is green. how long will they stay that color should we eat them?
Fantastic but I need a better idea for their feet. I agree with another commenter drop down nest box they do not like things coming at them overhead. Maybe some rope wrapped nesting bars for sleeping. Oh man we are so doing something like this for our next project. Thank you.
Hello my friend. I am following you from Turkey. Since I do not know a foreign language, I cannot fully understand what you are saying. Even if that's why you said it, I might have missed it. Can you write the dimensions of the caravan from outside to outside, length, width and height in meters? Also, is there electricity in the fences? How many volts of electricity are applied, if any? I will be very happy if you answer these questions. I wish you a good day with your chickens.
Very impressive, making the excess sweating stop within 2 days was so much more than I expected, I went with what I talked about last week and after the first day or so I was very surprised to start feeling much more comfortable and dry! I went ahead and go'ogled the latest by Cynthia Yulesin and after 72 hours I now sweat like a “normal” person lol
How do you catch the chickens when they are ready for harvest?
These are egg layers and we aren’t planning to harvest them. But we can always lock the automatic chicken door if we need to catch any and go inside to get them
Absolutely genius
How do uou buy?
I like your chicken coop.
thx for your time and info, have a 16 footer i believe will do for me
Put your water tank inside the chicken tracktor. It'll be lest likely to freeze in the winter.
Thankfully we don’t have to deal with super cold temperatures
If you move the chooks more often, you’ll most likely find that the feed barrel lasts even longer.
We move them once a week and that’s about as much as we have time for!
Your coop is amazing. I’m a city boy who doesn’t remember the last time I saw a live chicken 😂 but I’m obsessed with these videos. Your mobile coop just might be my new favorite thing. I hope you keep making videos, as time permits of course. Be well!
Thank you so much!
Congratulations! 🎉

Yes they are!
is that a 5.9 cummins in a crew cab short bed OBS chevy?!
It sure is! The best of both worlds in my opinion. It needs some things here and there but it runs good.
@@ballancefamilyfarm that is my dream machine!
Ms.Balance. What is molecular equilibream
Moving calves was WAY easier than moving pigs! 😂
I didn’t show a few other clips of us trying since it was just walking around but it really didn’t take long at all, maybe 3-4 minutes 🙌🏼 so we were pleased haha
It was cool seeing how you made the things you move the chickens with!
Thank you!!
Nice chicken wagon
Thank you!!
It's been a long time since I've canned - I liked making dill green beans, spaghetti sauce and applesauce. How long is the shelf life for broth? Nice video!
Most canned good are suggested to be used with 12-18 months to be safe with the seal! Thanks.
The shears for the neck is brilliant
Yes! It saves so much time.
I will add Genesis 9:3. All animals are meat for us

Hi , nice chickens, a sign of wealth nowadays
Very nice :) always things to tweek but you have good thing going :) new subscriber
Thanks so much! 😊
Change the 2x4’s to round stock ..... better for their feet. In nature, limbs are round, not square 😉
it's actually better for chickens to keep their feet flat, and their bodies can keep their feet warm that way too :)

Why not just buy a $5 ratchet strap and strap the water in place?
Nice information... thanks for sharing It's great video... 👍👍👍👍
Thank you!
@@ballancefamilyfarm you are welcome
Overall a great system! Not being critical, maybe helpful hints: Possible modifications. Help with nest box-> change so the side folds down, stationary top, keeps leaks down. I know it will take more material. Windows-> chicken wire keeps chickens in, but isn't predator proof, hardware cloth change out if/when u can. Roosts-> is there a way u can hang where u can lift out/off so u can get urself all the way back to clean off floors cross members?. I had open floor in my coop, not as nice as urs & my coop was on sled runners, so not as easy to move. If it gets way way cold, u can throw something on the floor to block wind -- anything from cardboard to straw.
Thank you!
I noticed your North Carolina hat. I’m from Salisbury halfway between Charlotte and Greensboro near I-85. What are are you in? Looks pretty flat there. Love seeing young people living the country lifestyle. Great videos. God bless you and your family.
