@Kvarta B Regarding bad services, just name of few: Taxi drivers do not speak foreign languages and many of them are stupid and not serious. Who is not able to find a job starts as taxi driver. City transport is terrible. Bratislava has no underground, many routes are overloaded. When you buy 30 minutes ticket, you are often not able to reach the destination in time. If you have to transfer from one line to another, it is even worse because arrivals and departures do not work as declared. In general, many employees in services earn little money and their motivation at work is low. If you visit Bratislava by car, you will find poor roadways full of holes and complicated to find parking places (except of those in shopping malls). Police men do not speak foreign languages and city police is mostly about employees with basic education totally incompetent in most of the situations. Regarding your statement about historic centre that is half of what Prague has. This is very misleading because half of the Prague is historic. When you leave Bratislava tiny historic centre there is nothing to see when we talk about history. In Prague there are many historical areas on both sides of Vltava river. When you compare historical areas of both cities, that one in Prague is around 10 times larger. Regarding Budapest - you are right, many historical parts of Budapest are not as old as they seem to be but hey, when you come to Budapest, you will hardly see all those amazing things in a short period of time. You have to spend at least a week to see the major "historical" attractions. In Bratislava, you need just couple of hours. Moreover, many of Bratislava's historical building have been reconstructed in a very insensitive way - e.g. courtyard of Bratislava castle is made almost completely from the concrete and its ancient underground works like a parking place... Another difference is overall atmosphere of the city. Budapest, Prague or Vienna are totally different worlds because they are cities - exciting, full of life even in the nights, cosmopolitan, different people, cultures, languages. Bratislava in comparison is more like a village, provincial, petty-bourgeois. Weekend late nights in the frequent parts of Bratislava (Obchodna street, SNP bridge, historical city or using a city transport) are not safe enough for foreigners especially of different skin colour

​@Kvarta B Sorry, but we have totally different experience and impressions of the same city. I know Prague as well as Bratislava but love it much more. To me Prague or Budapest or Vienna is about "Wow, that is awesome" and those cities are worth to see more than once. Bratislava is about "That is ok" and no need to visit it again.
