    The West Germans (as they were at the time) were told to blow it up by the Americans which they did in in 1952 (I think). That could not get rid of everything though. So they tried to hide the site with fast-growing trees. Has it worked? The back retaining wall in the mountain is still there and the SS garages deeper in the forest

    Hitler to Molotov on his visit to Berlin "Britain is finished".. Molotov "Why are we then sitting in this air raid shelter and the RAF are dropping bombs on Berlin?".. What a deluded little moustached evil Crank he was...

    Hitler called the British "Little Worms" at the Munich Agreement. Great how the little worms came over in their Lancster bombers and bombed his lovely Berghoff.. Should have kept his little teahouse though for us to visit and laugh at the evil crank.

    Allies sent a special squadron to bomb this but when the allies were begged to bomb Auschwitz to stop or at least slow down the killing they refused.

    At least they didn't attempt to move the mountains, the sun and the moon from view; trying to hide where Hitler once stood.

    Why do they destroy everything related to Hitler, Nazism? It looks a bit like they want to erase history and pretend it never happened ... but it will get revenge once - history will come full circle and it will happen again.

      There were many tourists around in Obersalzberg, yes. But actually, there were no one in the specific area where Berghof was. Almost everyone was there to visit another of Hitlers buildings, called Kehlsteinhaus, which lays higher up in the mountain.

    • @Rimrock300
      @Rimrock300 7 років тому

      There is a main reason why it was demolished; to attracht as little attention as possible in the aftermath of the war. As in not wanting to give nazies/neo-nazies a shrine. Sure many tourists, people interested in history and so on have looked around there through the years, not any problem
