@@jetwanVT Ok Thanks for the clarification. At 3:55 i clearly see that you first try to intercept and then absorb the incoming punch with the Wu sao... Is there any reason to choose a pak sau with wu sao in place of a punch ?

好多詠春師傅和學生對練的示範片,永遠都係個師傅永遠打到個學生. 仲唔係點到即止, 我總覺得學生學得好.一定可以做到有反應地還擊,大家可以互動. 這類示範我總覺得師傅永遠是最勁. 學生永遠不能超越師傅. 難怪葉問宗師話明. 學生唔叻唔會收.
你见得少就见得少，讲那么多....练得好的师弟或徒弟超过师兄或师父的有的是，只不过兄长和长辈的经验一定是比你多的（除非他只是练的早，但练的其实很少），你的功力和技术是可以被练出来的，经验是要靠时间积累的，而大家是在练习，不是在比输赢，同师兄或师父练习中不断失败的经验才是练功夫，比输赢老师父随便谁都可以打败，那你去打败年老的师父有意义吗？想要赢啊，你去打100个幼稚园小朋友，然后你就武林高手了，不是笑掉人大牙吗lol
We were taught to go against the thumb as well (I trained in Hung Gar).
Appeciate you for putting this out there. One minor thing I'd like to note is that it seems that during the bong-lap sequences your fist seems to point upward after a while. This of course is not right since your fist should point towards your opponent height wise. The fist pointing upwards happens when you expect the bong sau and unconsiounsly conform your structure to his. This often happens after a while. An easy fix is to make sure to keep the elbow low and your arm at atleast bigger than 90° but prefferably a 135° angle before you strike. Keep up the good work!
