About Contemplatio
The piece was meant to be an arrangement of the song I Emerged from a Dream, composed earlier to the poem by Johanna Korhonen. However, the music wanted to set out on paths of it’s own: through gardens and groves to mountain slopes and unknown cities. On the latter half of the composition, the fretless bass strings of the decacorde and their black micro intervals began echoing with Byzantine progressions, with the secret silence of ancient stone walls. With thoughts on the end - and the beginning.
