Nice
What's that?
Rod holders welded in
Со стороны левого борта зазор, люк рундука
Watching how you supported your MIG hand with various items was interesting. Cheers.
I’m curious are you a welder by trade or a serial DIY er and I’m not knocking you, either way I’m impressed by your work Cheers from way down south
@@iainhetherington4608 paramedic and DIY'r have built a few ally ramps roof racks fuel tanks over the last few years. First boat build
@@MHD-Fishing good on you for having a crack , I find aluminium welding to be the most satisfying, don’t know why Cheers
Can’t wait to see it in the drink 👍
thanks a lot for the info ! you got a lot of welders and other tools
Absolute quality welds👍 you should be really proud of what you have achieved👍 The welding looks very similar to the welds we achieve when ‘Burning’(Lead Welding)’ Lead on Roofs here in dear old Blighty
could you do a quick review of the tools ? how is the Unimig performing ? what AMPs/Volts combo you using for the thickness and how much duty cycle do you get out of it? would you buy a more powerful welder if you do it again ?
@@marcianmoon6143 sure that's something I can look at and a good idea. Ill try to have a look at that soon.
How many hours in so far?
havnt kept track but lets say 20h a week for 6 monthe 520h at a guess. theres been alot of lost time due to weather and work
I am famous 🎉
👍
I have to ask where is the bilge ,or is it a self draining deck ? Looking good though Cheers from down south
@@iainhetherington4608 self draining deck. Also there is a bilge under the rear transom deck so if water gets in it can drain to the rear. Ill do some pics soon to show what's where
i thought battery box compartments would be pre-cut in the kit?
@@marcianmoon6143 it gives you freedom to do what you like. I considered making the top a live bait tank very seriously.in the end just decided for storage
@@MHD-Fishing can you create live bait tank integrated into bait board, there are few examples on other boats, bait cutting board would be the lid for the bait tank
Super Work! Wishing 💯🐟
Nice work does this boat have a bilge , self draining deck scuppers ???
How many hours into the build?
lets say 20h a week over about 26 weeks. So about 520h next one would be faster and with help its faster.
Coming along nicely , have to commend you for perseverance, well done
Aussie build? Looking good man
@@danielthornton3277 yeah Aussie build in queensland
Coming along great Raymond!
You need better camera positions!! It’s all a bit distant 👍
just trying to cover as much as i can but ill see what i can do. I now have a camera mount on the console so that should help. also action cameras are a bit like that ill make 1 less wide angle that may help.
@@MHD-Fishing Did not expect a reply👍Thankyou 👍 I only thought I’d mention it so maybe you’d get more views/subscribers!! After all you’re actually doing it, building it! All I’m doing is watching your efforts😳 And the boat looks bloody fantastic so far. Keep going it all looks great👍especially here in good ol’ Blighty🤗
Thật tuyệt vời
Love your videos and progress mate , just one thing though the can of acetone just above you when you are welding probably not a good idea, hate to see all your good work ruined by oversight Cheers from down South
What's the name of the float?
@@초토하 it's closed cell foam. I got it a few months ago. I'll see if I can find what.its called
Thank you.
What is the name of the float you put on the bottom of the boat?
Boat Float
POLYFOAM SHEETS - EXPANDED POLYETHYLENE - EPE
Thank you.
Hi I’ve watched your vids looks good ! Do you think a 4.5 to 5m boat would be build able with only 1 person ? Or are two people needed fairly often ? I do have a gantry but am worried about needing two people
2 people just makes it faster mostly it could be done on your own.
what welding mask did you use ? did it have an air filter? is filtration any good ?
I used the Unimig PAPR filter system when doing alot of welding especially in the boat. I also had an extraction fan to remove gas and smoke. When I do a quick weld and don't use the filter I have noticed it makes a huge difference.
@@MHD-Fishing cool thanks , do you think its doable by a single person? have you built boats before?
@@marcianmoon6143 probably more. When I get a helper a lot more gets done. No never built a boat before. I have done an aluminium boat building course.
@@MHD-Fishing im planning to do the course too this year, i was thinking of starting with a smaller project first , maybe 4m dingy or CC. and then maybe 5.5m hard top
Loving the videos. How much welding experience did you have before starting?
Not a lot learning more as i go. I have done a aluminum boat building coarse it helped with construction techniques. Welding well you just need time on the gun.
Fuck yeah looks good gents Wish I could weld and make a boat like you can
Looks good. What thickness is the metal?
5mm hull 4mm sides and floor
Projects coming along great mate. Did you have much in the way of experience welding ally before building the boats?
Nah made a few aluminum ramps for friends the occasional roof rack. a fuel tank or 2 this is my first boat build.
Is that unimig 200 pulse with push pull gun or just standard ??
Not standard but the push pull gum is awesome and a must for a job like this
@@MHD-Fishing Thanks did you modify the welder to take beaver wire ?
@@therukugorillazaotearoa_ yes made a holder for the roller and drilled a hole in the back of the machine.
@@MHD-Fishing nice mate cheers for that
Hi been watching your build, looks like she's going to be a good boat, what length is it? I've been building a hmd kit on my channel, my first build big learning curve but enjoying it, good luck with the rest of the build, cheers Marty
6.5m CC it's called MHD because it stands for Mental health day. For when i need a break from work.
As your spending so much time on this build How about naming the boat Mistress
Well not a bad suggestion but MHD stands for Mental Health Day like when I need a break from work.
I would make a rotisserie, would save you heaps of time
I had access to one i thought about it i really did but it wount spin under the mezzanine.
What is the power plant you are proposing to use ? I can see your loosing some weight as well, keep at it 💪
can take up to a 250hp I'm planning on a 200hp Mercury
Check out some of the Japanese import motors Most have run in freshwater lakes
Looks amazing quality
Cant complain at all. It was solid when tacked now its just crazy how strong it is.
You make it look almost like fun , loved the straps and comealong . Wish i had thought of that.👍 Beautiful work
Thanks 👍
Como definir as pontas do fundo em v?
will roll in 2 days you will see more of the bottom after that
How many days or hours to this point mate? looks great
I Got it mid January. Its hard to put a number on it. I don't like working on it in high humidity. And it's been high humidity alot. Longer than unwanted but when I get at it it goes together well and quickly
Vou construir uma navegação para mim, Qual maquina de solda usar?
Hard to say not sure whats avalible to you. Id suggest a pulse Mig with either a push/pull gun or a spool gun.
Otimo trabalho!....
thanks
Nice one , I’m getting a 6.5m cc built as we speak, what engine you putting on her and what sort of fitout electronics ect , just after some ideas as I’m doing the fitout on mine myself cheers for the videos
200hp mercury DTS and 2 12" Lowrance sounders projects battery dcdc charger and solar panel
Looking good mate. like video thanks 👌💪🍺
Thanks 👍
How much did the cnc cost?
Costing is on their site cncmarine.com.au/product/6510cc/
Did you made the engineering plan of blue print? Where did you bought that long of a aluminum sheet, nice project i am excited to to see it finished
its a CNC Marine Kit. I bought it off one of their designs. They cut it and supply all the materials for the price. cncmarine.com.au/product/6510cc/
Amazing
Thanks
