Tech support won't walk you through the diagnostic on this anymore. You have to first contact the true variable system Tech in your company first

Like the US F-35 Lightning fighter jet, great when working but unreliable and a nightmare to maintain resulting in less than 50% being ready for combat, Trane XV units are are over-engineered and overbuilt beyond any rational need to perform their required simple task..the basic function of cooling a home. Great when they are working but requiring outrageously expensive maintenance and repair far beyond the routine skills of most HVAC contractors when not working.

Does the error code 177.04 will be the gas sensor on the tam9 ?

With cooling mode energized shouldn't the vfd go to 60hz the fan should be ripping.

What is the ohms on that sensor??? 10,000 ohms??

Sad that the HVAC tech have to fix the BS that York has to fix at the factory

I’m curious why took 4-5 days? We stock those drives in our shop . 18-20 seer units all have the same drive from 2-5 ton so it relatively universal. They do have that new 17 seer link drive, however our dealer stocks 5-10 drives for 17-20 seer variable speed units. Times change no more carrying contactors and capacitors, start carrying drives, thermistors and, system controllers lol

What do you recommend when a york unit package unit alarms saying c1 locked out due to coil freeze. I checked air filter, check blower belt , make sure it's tight not loose, all supply vents are open and return grills are clean?? After when it runs it says excessive supply air temp that's next alarm? What do u recommend?

Thanks for the video - I put on the AC now in May because the temp sometimes were getting to 80 but in the next few days it went down to 45 so we turn on the heat and we had a bad smell. I took a look at the unit it was dusty. But i remembered when i open the panel i had no noise and the ac/heat termo was turn off. After cleaing the inside of the unit and put the panel back it started to make a small humming noise. The panel connects to a black switch that soon as the i close it starts humming. Not a loud noise but something you can definitely hear. is that normal? it has a zero on the display next to the flame indicator light. The flame indicator small bulb is not flashing but above or next to it there is a digital square grey that puts a number zero. any advice would be greatly appreciate it!!!

I am actually having this same problem on a unit I am working on. Same error code. What sensor did you end up replacing? From what I found it was the outdoor condenser coil sensor that’s attached at the bottom. Let me know if that’s what you did, thanks!
