I couldnt hear anything even at full volume. I've checked this out, its large and not very user easy friendly. Itbis what it is. I bought a Garmin. Easy tonuse and worth every penny.
Thanks
Video is useless
Why is it that Units will not operate with SDXC memory card?
audio low
Need to show it in actual operation
I wish labradar customer service was better
"You can not add any shots to the previous series." For the love of God, why? A+ for engineering, C- for programming.
i fixed my lab radar issues by throwing it in the closet and using a magnetospeed v3. 🤣👌👍 too bad i wasted $600 on a pos product. the customer service was garbage as well, some guy in KS wnated money for shipping back, money to fix it and money to replace any parts. 🖕
Problem is my windows explorer won't open or unzip .bin files so not sure how I'm supposed to update. tried downloading free programs that said they would open .bin folders but none have worked.
My chronograph works great but dang is this thing tough to remember how to use! Maybe in the future a more self-explanatory control layout could be implemented?
Don't forget to run by McDonald's and get a straw? OMG. If you neglected to design a working aiming sight into this device what else did you neglect to do? Telling users to tape a straw to the top of the unit is not very confidence inspiring.
Among other things, they neglected to make a working app. Can't believe I spent over $500 on this POS.
Worst customer service ever!!! Don’t buy!!!!!
Worst customer service ever! Don’t buy!!!!!!!
Pathetic! Do a proper “How to “ video... or dont bother as it only makes you look bad
When they show the last shot where the LabRadar acquired velocity, they didn’t even need to use the straw trick....lol.
Overpriced POS.
I can’t believe how badly you guys effd up the menus and buttons. I’ve been using the device two months and am a quick-learning IT person, but damn. Next time, pull out an old Nokia phone and see how easy it is to use with just 4 directional buttons and a Select and Back button and just copy that. There is no reason to do non intuitive press and hold stuff. Whoever created the menus needs to go make cookies for everyone else who made such a cool device.
Indeed complete nonsense. The app interface is a bit better.
Exactly. Total idjuts with zero sense of user interface design. Fire whomover came up with this idiocy.
Why make such a great product and then tie its hands at 3900 fps?
Fake. You need to change settings from whether you are shooting a rifle of pistol. There is more details on where the muzzle needs to be with respect to device. You also need to select bullet size, etc...
Spend a million developing a great piece of gear, then cheap out on aiming mechanism. This isn't a Claymore mine.
Guys, considering the quality of your product, surely you could have put together a better training video than this. It looks really unprofessional.
This looks like a really good Way to check bullet arrow and other objects speed, I’ve been wanting to get one for my channel, are they pretty durable?
what is the best settings for supressor? Trigger or Dopler? Trigger Level 1 ?
If anyone known way to swap EU version to US version ? Other firmware, any jumpers inside etc ? I need "high power mode" to testing ammo on long distances
Michal MG if you're talking about units, I was able to switch from metric to US by swiping the Labradar icon in the upper left corner (IOS version). This let's you get to settings, but you have to be connected to the Labradar when you do it. Don't know if that answers your question...
What about a revolver? Do I need to worry about the cylinder gap?
There instruction radar if love lab skies sky letter L lines level layer etc steps this radii life if family ..... channel . .weather .RAIN TYPOON SIGNAL .Polar
I can not unzip your files for Mac OSx and have them readable for LabRadar.. The BIN file being used is not a native approach to Mac and when unzipping it creates a .CPGZ file. I have tried Safari and Firefox browsers for downloading. Used the native Mac unzip, three different top rated Mac Apps for unzipping files plus the UNIX terminal for UNIX unzip....all to no avail. So, how are we to unzip your BIN files so OSx can properly unzip?
I've been struggling with the same exact thing for about 3 days. I decided to send my Lab Radar in so they can install it for me. You can also send them an SD card for them to download the update onto and send back. I think you can also purchase an SD from them that already has the update on it.
I have the same question as Kay.
Good afternoon, I downloaded the program both on the SD card and on my Android phone... I finally got it working but the velocity is listed in M/S (Meters per second) and I want to read in FPS. How can I change the android device to read FPS. The LabRadar unit is set to FPS and reads that way but the android reads M/S
You have to click on the LabRadar emblem on you phone/tablet, then change the settings on there,
Audio volume is too low. Can you increase it?
There is a volume on your device. It's crazy, I know. But you can control your own volume now.
Would have been awesome product if you would have charged more but included the table stand.
Yeah, because the one thing Labradar needs to be is more expensive... You could make one with a board and a bolt for <$5
Or you could just buy both products if you need them both. I appreciate the flexibility of them offering the stand separate. I happened to have a suitable ball mount laying around from when I used to do more photography and I simple bolted that to a sheet of 1/4" thick painted mild steel.
This thing have Bluetooth? He mentions a 3:30 that it does, can't figure it out on mine. ua-cam.com/video/m5orxn93IfI/v-deo.html
Mine will pair, but the app doesn't find it. I think it's an issue with the app not the device.
@00 00 It isn't great. I think I've found the best solution for now. I place the LR flat on the bench, and put the phone on top of it, BT on, cover off. Turn on the LR, and as it's booting, start the LR App. I get about a 30% success rate that it'll pair and connect. If not, I shut off the unit, close the app, and try again. That's with a Samsung Galaxy S10. I also use an external power supply (Anker 26400) and an SD card.
@00 00 if it'll pair but not sync, try clearing ALL the paired devices from your phone, then start fresh, pairing the LR first. Huge pain I know but I tried that with a buddy's and it worked. I'd like to see Weibel bring a product to market. They make high end ballistic radar and analysis software already.
Shoulda watched this before I used mine, was getting weird numbers at the muzzle but my ES at 10 yards was within 8 fps
One of these updates gonna bring Bluetooth?
Yes, Bluetooth update with an APP to use as remote would be great! reaching to reset the radar sucks, ihave to get out of position.
Are the updates cumulative? I am not up to date do I need to run each update in sequence?
no, you can update to the latest one.
Lots of people have been having problems with suppressed rifles failing to trigger even on the highest sensitivity settings. Can the bow or airgun trigger be used in a rifle application for this reason?
For suppressors you should always use trigger level 1. Keep in mind that the gasses exiting the suppressor go almost straight forward, not in a spherical shape. To allow the Labradar the chance to "feel" this pressure wave you may have to back up the suppressor even with, or behind the radar for it to feel it. The Air gun or Archery would permit the unit to trigger, but the mic would have to be in front and slightly to the side of the suppressor.
I have tried to contact your company several times to become a dealer, I have never got a response?
It doesn't appear that they won't respond to you here, either.
I use a suppressor. you need to have the Labradar placed FORWARD of the can a couple inches, not next to it.
Thanks for the video. With muzzle brakes that send the blast to the sides and not back it looks like you have the Labradar back about 8 or more inches. How far back is it actually set and what sensitivity setting for it? Thank you.
Always leave your unit on Trigger Level 1 unless other shooters are triggering your radar. For the muzzle position always keep in mind the unit needs to feel some of the muzzle blast to trigger. If it is a direct blast from a muzzle brake it will shake the unit and it will not read the projectile. Since each brake discharges at a different angle I cannot give you an exact distance, just keep the above statement in mind. If your muzzle is too far forward, the mic will not pick up the shot.
Thank you for the information.
I have mine about 4" behind my muzzle brake mounted on the "lab radar pad" and it gets rocked by my 338 lapua muzzle brake (terminator T3) guess I need to move it back about another 6" so it doesn't get knocked around or mount it on the labradar tripod.
Could you give instructions for Mac/Safari to update my LabRadar?
Basically download the files, extract, insert the SD card into your computer and copy the files to the root of the file (not in any folder), eject the SD card and put into the Labradar with the unit off. Turn the unit on and it will go through its paces.
Just use the cable upgrade method. No card reader is needed. Go to the UA-cam channel for step by step.
This is a very helpul clip to make the right adjustements! Maybe you could add the correlation of the muzzle location with the "Set proj. offset" from the setting menue (or do I get something wrong here?). What is the right setting depending on the muzzle location.
The Projectile Offset is the distance from the side of the Labradar to the barrel. You do not have to have an exact measurement. If your barrel is 1-6 inches use 6, 6-12 inches use 12, etc.
(con't) Just back from the range. Setup on this thing is easy BUT you have to be aware of everything. Where the chrono is. Where the gun is. Distances. So IF you pay attention this is everything you've been hoping for. Worked 100%!!! No more PITA setups. No more shot dead chrono's. No more sunny day misreads. Worth every penny & Richard will be there for you if needed.
8 years later, good to know.
Ok - I just got off the phone w/ Richard. I am one of the lucky ones that got this "run," but I had problems. Simply put, the #'s were all over the place. I was pissed. Been waiting what seems forever for "vaporware" as they say in the digital world...but I got it. It didn't work. Richard took the time w/ me to go over everything. The setup is easy enough, but it seems a few tweaks are to be tried. As of right now, I just got off the phone & will be going to the range tomorrow. He - Richard - couldn't have been nicer or more patient. Now if it only . . . (to be continued)
A company thats only after your money, will sell you the first piece of crap they can throw together... I'm willing to give them all the time they need to get it perfect. Because, after all, thats what we want... perfection....
me too I'm very interstin and I'm waiting for a loooong time. BUT Mr Richard Mouser always answered to my mail in less than 24h. I've a Oehler 35P who works great, but the Labradar can be set more quickly. I hope to see it at IWA in Nuremberg.
Nice looking product. Unfortunately they have no idea how to run a company. They almost never reply to messages on Facebook or email and they keep promising a delivery date but never deliver on it. Makes me wonder if this product is going to fall apart. They also only offer a 1 year warranty which is ridiculous, this shows me they don't stand behind it.
Take my money already!
I am trying to purchase too. Confused that they do not respond.
Waiting over a year now too.... Think the price will run around 500$ last time I checked?
I have been waiting for these since shot show last year. Honestly how long before they are for sale in the US?
Have they responded to you? I am trying to make a purchase as well, but no response.
***** They're hopeless, the product looks good but they keep lying about the release date. It was Spring 2014, the Fall, now it's Spring 2015 and still no product. They are compulsive liars. They need someone who knows how to run a business.
James Dean Wow... BUMMER! I guess it is a production issue.
