Fortunately I got a 30th Anniversary Pro here in the UK and will not be selling it as I'm a genuine collector...can't wait to see it on display with my sealed 20th Anniversary PS4. Sony did fine, 12K consoles for MILLIONS that would want this...there's going to be disappointment somewhere. However you all should be grateful the scalpers are selling them allowing you a premium second chance because people like me will NEVER sell ours. Facts.

tbh it was this situation with the ps5 that made me move to PC.

The only way to stop this is that normal people stop buying from scalpers. When they can't sell their stock they will stop pretty quickly.

No video games aren't essential items, i.e., items essential for life. If you think video games are essential to life, you live in a first world country.

I created a new PS network account bc my og one is linked to an old phone number, I was worried I couldn't het a PS5 pro special edition due to the recently created account, to me it would make sense to build a logic that prevents fraudulent/scalper accounts to get into these exclusive launches (newly created accounts, zero game history, not linked to any ps console, no purchase history, etc. ). I work in analytics so these logics are fairly simple rules to build. I went into the queue, and to my pleasent surprise, I got my PS5 Pro. I am beyond happy, this console edition makes me reminesce about the good old days when my dad bought my brother and I our PS1. Sadly not every true fan had a fair chance to get their console and bring back memories, rather having a pitiful experience. I feel for you brothers and sisters.

Well I just felt like saying this from my side. I wanted to buy a computer for a long time now, I was able to get a job in the summer for 2 weeks for 11 hours a day and got 400€ for it but still it wasnt even near to enough money. When I saw they were making this version of the PS5 I was aware that they would sell out and the prices would explode immediately and I had just enough money to buy a slim after receiving the salary for the summer job and I got the idea to buy it and sell it to be able to get enough money to finally get the computer of my dreams. By complete luck I was able to be one of the first people in the website to buy it and I was able to get one, I saw the price they were going for on ebay and got super excited but then I started seeing everyone saying they hate people that do the type of thing I do and I now i feel really bad about it. I'm not gonna lie, I really want the money and it would be a big change in my life but at the same time i get this feeling like I stole this console from someone that could have used it and for that I really am sorry.

I preordered the ps5 pro, then cancel the order citing the limit of ps5 pro 30th the reason. Dont own ps5, and this make me want to skip it entirely. Sony need to fix this and release more. What is the point of pssr off their customers🤨

Just cancel those leaches. Sony should cooperate with eBay and cancel all preorders on names/adresses that are selling those consoles on eBay. Easy.

Awesome. Yeah, I just recently complete the main game and Foundation DLC recently and it was a blast. Picking up and completing the final side missions to max out the skill tree at the moment. It would sure be nice to be able to start a new game with the completed skill tree but I doubt this is possible, but don't know. This is probably the funnest game I've played in years and it's not even the genre of games I enjoy. I'm more into survival horror but I suppose it's time to branch out. Haven't played Alan Wake yet and it left Xbox Game Pass a year ago but because of all the good things I've heard and the fact that's like $15 on Xbox and Steam I will be purchasing that game soon. I started playing Quantum Break in the interim but I don't like the "slowness" of the game. I'm gonna give it a chance though as I've just started it and hopefully it will get better/faster/funner.

You know what's interesting is where I live scalping used to be illegal for things like tickets and other items. For some reason it isn't now, probably because there was money to be made there and thrown at politicians, but it certainly kicked this kind of behavior to the curb for quite a while.

This won’t stop until they stop doing these online only pre orders, I got the regular PS5 pro & those are still available

Heard a rumor that arlham asylum and arlham city will be remastered for vr if this game does well. We will see alpt of classic ganes return inVR form if this game does well.

I don't really get any special controllers, I have a standard blue one, and I wanted one of the 30th anniversary ones. When I got my PS5, Playstation (UK) had finally gone to capping how many an individual to 2 consoles. This happens with everything nowadays, years ago it was a case of queuing outside of the shop to get one There must be a way where PS could link a controller to an account and a code and a PSN account, and do that at different stages, code when you pre-order then log in and code when you connect it. Ofcourse there will need to be a way to sell on a physical thing in the future, so codes etc could be time locked.

This is the problem you run into when you funnel everyone into one singular store. Back in the day a scalper would have to go to your physical GameStop, or whatever store, in order to scalp you. Now every scalper in the country is in the same (digital) checkout line as you. And that’s not to mention that every normal person in the country who wants one is in the same checkout line with you too. Of course it’s going to be almost impossible to get one that way. It’s a freaking terrible system that we are stuck with.

I’m getting my Masters in Healthcare Administration so I’m learning a lot more about business and my question is why is this company still running if they’re openly discriminating against others? Even if you disagree with a persons politics, you legally can’t reject them due to their race, gender or sexual orientation. I hate that the culture war as got to this point

It’s this mindset and these motivations that are producing so many games that don’t resonate with the gaming audience. At the end of the day this is a business. If you aren’t making games that have quality first as the goal, AND appeal to the largest demographic, which just happens to be male for instance in video games, then they are asking for failure. We’ve seen plenty of diversity and minorities in games with a quality story and gameplay and those do just fine. Too many of these publishers/devs focus on an agenda only currently.

And then they say white people are the racist ones XD So basically skin color now affects your IQ in judging how history went down. Imagine giving the Nazis the chance to write their story based on their point of view lol Oh how different this world would be. This world full of f*cking hypocrites.

I agree 100%. I will also add that “subtlety” is lost on a lot of these writers trying to push a narrative.

Unfortunately it’s gotten to the point of a culture war and we need to vote with our wallet to excise the SBI type influence and hatred from the “activists.” I’m conservative but have been a gamer my whole life and never felt “excluded” (yet most of the creators, as your said, have been left leaning) until the last 10 years or so. I don’t honestly care about the creators or actors’ beliefs as long as the story is well told and the gameplay is fun. Unfortunately, with most of the vocal creators and actors saying their products are “not for me” and “don’t like it don’t buy it” I’ve been accepting their challenge. I love Ghost if Tsushima and enjoyed all the characters, even Lady Masako, as I can enjoy even “leftist ideas” if told well. With how the last 5-6 years have been, however I can concerned with Ghost of Yotei. I haven’t immediately written it off yet but the lead actress is concerning… Why can’t we just have fun engaging games again where the creators don’t hate 80% of their audience 🤷🏼‍♂️

This are the kind of people who always try to destroy paintings in museums, historical monuments and all that because they want to destroy the entire culture humanity has built over the centuries as a personal vendetta, and the same goes for media: books, tv series, films, and yes, even the gaming industry. They literally don't want us to have anything at all.

If a company wants to consult this firm I hope they are ready for the ramifications.
