Does your lathe lack a scale on the x axis? Are you frustrated by having to reposition a dial indicator several times to measure large distances? Worry no more, for trav-a-dial is here. It functions via a disk pressed against the side of the lathe, spinning the dial through FANCY GEARS Also it's a PITA to calibrate. Rough heuristics used during calibration: Repeatability: 1. Just found your channel and subscribed. Very nice work
Nice work!👍🏻
what's with the silicon graphics logo ?
What’s the dimensions of angle iron and c-channel ?
Where can I get a table that raises and lowers like that? :15s - :20s
Specifically you can find ones like this by searching "portelevator die cart" It's way beefier than necessary; I appreciate the stability. If you can't find that I've also seen people use "hydraulic table cart"s for the same purpose
why use a tig welder, when a mig or stick would be stonger and easier
I wasn't aware that mig or stick was stronger! I bought a TIG because it was the most flexible with respect to material size and composition. At this time I didn't have mig, and in the future if I need a strong weld I will use the stick feature. Thanks for the suggestion
This is brilliant
'best I've seen I sure think I have all the bits to put something like this together editing dept. gets an A+ thanks
Nice welding cart!
I see my friend Erin 💖
detailed explanation and amazing video editing. I like it ☺️
you're so dreamy!
Nice video, dude! Glad to see your Radio Flyer is free. Editing is awesome!
Thanks to this video, I can figure out how to make one for myself!
I made my own MIG cart the same way, it's just about twice as narrow than what these guys did.
👍🏻
TIGHT editing on this one, great job!
Honestly it's more of a VFX demo than a matching project! Thanks 😎
Thank you for this :)
Probably one of the more relaxing machine-y type videos I’ve seen
Glad you enjoyed it! Just trying to tell a story :)
Are you related to This Old Tony? Great editing.
He may not know me, but I consider him one of my adoptive youtube dads
Great job!
Thanks! Always a pleasure to take you along
Don't think we didn't see that tap follower pretending to be a center drill. wait..
I cant help it, the surface grinder is demanding more drills to sharpen!

Dropsies. We've all had em.

> does anyone know how to identify taps (3:53) hey bae when i organized the taps a few weeks back i found that the specifications were inscribed on the shank of each tap
Yea but how does one know which threadform a given bolt is RIDDLE ME THAT (4:05 thread gauge helps, also measuring the OD of the thread and looking it up in Machinery's Handbook)

Did you ever fix your powerfeed?
Recently picked up a boring bar set to make the custom nut needed to pull the retaining ring from the lead screw to actually get it off and see what's going on. All I have to do is make a tool post holder for the bars...
