Sometimes there’s more to depression than just being really sad. I’ve been dealing with depression for 50 years. My life now is not bad. I have a loving husband and son, a great best friend, an awesome God who cares. I read the Bible and pray. I also have really horrible chronic pain, we can’t pay our bills, and I have a serious mental illness which also includes a serious chemical imbalance. Sometimes just getting up and getting dressed is too much. I feel worthless and that others would be better off without me. I battle suicidal thoughts daily. It’s not that I don’t believe God can take care of everything…but after 50 years it’s hard to believe he cares enough to help me. He has worked miracles in my life before…things that there is no other way to explain. But he hasn’t taken away my worthless feelings. Please continue to pray for me and my family.
