Fairlight Wood Caravan and Motorhome Club Site Walk Around
Fairlight Wood Caravan and Motorhome Club Site in East Sussex, nestled in woodland between Hastings and Rye. It's a wonderful site, very peaceful and a perfect base for exploring the area, perfect for dogs, walkers and cyclists and about 3km from the beach (as the crow flies).

New Tyre Day! Pirelli Cinturato Gravel M tyre test and gravel ride in leafy Suffolk
Переглядів 18 тис.4 роки тому
Getting my gravel bike ready for the winter so I have bought some new rubber and opted for the Pirelli Cinturato Gravel Ms. I set out from Melford Country Park CP and headed out on the trail. My bike is a Felt Breed 20 2020 with 650 wheels and I was running the 45mm version of the tyre. Front tyre pressure was 27psi and rear 29psi. Running tubeless with Muck-Off "No Puncture" sealant, which did...
Adria Thames 613 Stereo fitting - simple stereo fitting to a caravan
Переглядів 2,4 тис.4 роки тому
Hi There! This is a simple video of how I fitted a DAB, Bluetooth radio to my Adria Thames 613 caravan. It was a really simple job connecting up to the fitted terminals/electrics. The aerial was factory fitted, you only need some very simple tools, if any at all, to get this up and running. I would imagine this would work with most modern stereos, but I obviously can't guarantee all systems wil...

Would 35mm be any good?
Dunno 🤷♂️
@@mikefletcher6595 What is the actual width of these tires? What rim did you put it on, internal width?
Excellent review... I'll get some for the Peak District gravel and mud.
Best tires ever, I have Cinturatos H on my bicycle and I love them.
Thanks for making the video. Very informative review on the Pirelli Cinturato Gravel M 45c.
Love it! Thank you so much, awesome review and content in general! Inspires me to go for a ride in these rather muddy conditions over here right now (snow and ice melting away). Just ordered a pair of those for my 2018 Niner RLT RDO. 40c rear (lacking tyre clearance for a 45c especially when it gets muddy/loamy), 45c front to add some comfort on the rougher sections of my riverside bike-to-work trails. Can't wait to try them out. Cheers, mate!
Useful video. Thanks mate
By saying a, "cheeky" climb, do you mean hurting in the saddle?
Disappointed to see the flat tire! I heard elsewhere that Cinturato's do not have good puncture resistance. Yours is yet another example that fuels my concern.
Funny, I’ve read and watched a load of reviews for this particular tyre both on the web generally and on UA-cam and I have come to the opposite conclusion. It seems that the puncture resistance of the Gravel M is actually good and well above average.
What brand seat bag is that?? I need one and like it.

Very cool slow motion close up of the tire as you came up the trail. Great view of the tires in action... digging into the soft pack.
Hi what’s the actual width? Internal rim width? Thanks!
Hi Mike, can I know what saddle bag are u using
It's this one, and I do like it, plenty of room for some skinny 650 tubes, air cylinders, levers, and a few other bits: www.altura.co.uk/luggage-c4/styles-c76/seat-packs-c85/altura-qr-saddle-bag-p191#attribute%5B4%5D=69
You’re a stronger rider than I am, so you had momentum where I perhaps wouldn’t have had. I was impressed with your review of this tyre. I’m thinking of the 38mm ‘M’ tyres for some spring gravel riding in my own backyard. Wales. I just wasn’t too sure about how the tyre would fare on the road, riding with friends?
Obviously not as good on the road as a more 'summer or dry weather' orientated tyre, but dry weather tyres would be just awful in the mud. I always like to be happy in myself and let my friends make their own choices!
Brilliant video mate. Recognised that metal bridge then realised you were local. I’m new to gravel, do you have a Strava page with your routes
No sorry - where do you live?
The guys at Torque bikes in Sudbury do group rides, not sure if gravel specific. This time of year i convert my bike to road riding, so put mudguards on and 30mm road tyres. Can you read GPX files, do you use OS map app?
Great Video Mike. What glasses are you wearing ?
Decathlon's own Rockrider brand, great lenses, very nice to wear, and lightweight. www.decathlon.co.uk/p/cat-0-3-interchangeable-cross-country-mountain-bike-glasses-race/_/R-p-305925?mc=8545908
Do these come in 700cc version
Not sure, best to have a search online
@@mikefletcher6595 they do a 700x40
@@fractalofgod6324I've just had delivery of some 700x40 today from Sigma (UK) really looking forward to getting out on them over the winter
@@DominicWattsUK how are rhe 40s working for ya
@@cesrn5201 Hi there. sorry I missed your post until now. They have been excellent through the winter with some good speed on the road and gravel and more certainty in the wet muddy stuff too, albeit not full on MTB tyres. I just did the Dirty Reiver 200km Sportif in the UK on them and they were excellent. I probably had a little bit too much air in them (35psi front 38 psi rear) for 200km of comfort. I use Cafelatex Sealant and have them on DT Swiss G540 rims. They hold their air extremely well and I really don't believe I have punctured but there is the smallest bit of sealant on the frame so I guess I may have had a very fast sealing small hole. Superb tyres.
curiously, how do you find felt breed? lighter?
So far I've loved it, fairly light, I'm not a massive fan of 1x but the bike has put up with a fair bit of abuse and not put a foot wrong.
just pulled the trigger on a set of these in 700x45c
Are these tyres any good? Currently have 700x42 sk gravel kings, thinking of making a switch, as not enough grip in mud etc!
@@michaelhill7785 they are great yes, very happy with them, work quite well on road too, set them up tubeless
@@michaelhill7785WTB Senderos are good in the U.K. muddy and wet conditions also.
700x45?
Yes
What pressures did you use? How did they feel comfortwise? Some reviews say They are on the harsher end of the scale
27 front, 29 rear. I only ever ride for 1.5/2hrs so comfort wise they have been fine, never known a particular tyre to be uncomfortable, i'd say that's more to do with what pressures you run
These are great tyres, but yes supple they are not, are harsh ride at any pressure. Mike I disagree with your comment, these tyres have a firm casing, so you definitely feel terrain through these. Ride a set of supple gravel tyres and it feels like clouds.
@@brettdalpozzo8363 any recommendations for grippy, supple and strong tyres?
@@dannyboyblue1111 Bontrager GR series are the softest I’ve run, more grip than those tread would suggest but the trade off is they wear quick. Tbh I’m still running the Pirelli, keep switching between the H and M. Given I do a lot of mixed rides including road group rides they just last forever and yet to have any puncture issues.
@@brettdalpozzo8363appreciate the response. I’ve heard the Pirelli He’s are supposed to run pretty quick on road. I’ve been toying between them and the gravel king (the slickest one) for mostly roads rides. I’ve heard lots of good things about both but the Pirelli’s do look quite slick so I imagine they roll well on road. Maybe the Pirelli’s on a set of 650b wheels for more dedicated off-road riding but I’ll make sure to check out the bontrangers too! Thanks.
Hey did you measure them ? , i might of missed it
Measure what?
@@mikefletcher6595 did you measure the tires with a set of calipers , after they were installed on your rims
@@jimbo4203 no, genially not that particular or worried about the odd mm!
Are you running these on hooked or hookless rims?
Hooked.
Great review. Thx
Great video. Just ordered some 👍🏻
I gave you a big high five for passing that muddy field.👏👏👏 Road cyclist don't know muddy fields like that feel like 25 gradient easily. Very impressive.
Sorry was it fast/easy rolling on the asphalted road too?, Thanks!
I'm looking for the answer too, thanks!
Yes is was good considering how aggressive tread was, obviously never going to be as good as some, but a great compromise.
@@mikefletcher6595 Thanks, just ordered mine ;-)
Good video mate in no how hard it is riding in the slippery mud 👍
It's like anything I guess, practice-practice-practice! I've only been riding proper for 5 or so years, I think the thing you have to do is relax and work with the bike, not be fighting it all the time.
Mike Fletcher yea mate I agree I’ve only just started riding this year and I’m still trying to go with it. My arms ache after a couple go’s round the track lol. That’s wat I need practice practice practice 👍
