"Me, the Dog, and Call of Duty"
Wife took the kids for three days of fun,
Left me here, man, just me and my gun.
Not a real one, hell no, just my Call of Duty,
And a dog at my feet, lovin’ me like I’m beauty.
My brother’s laid up, fresh out of surgery,
Can’t toss back a beer, can’t share my misery.
Popped a couple pills, hopin’ to find some peace,
But all they did was make me drowsy, nothin' was released.
It’s just me and the dog, and a cold-ass brew,
Wastin’ my time, got nothin’ to do.
Maybe a sweet girl servin’ me well,
But I guess tonight I’m stuck in my shell.
So I’m loggin' into Call of Duty, fightin’ the fight,
Blowin’ up monkeys just to get through the night.
Stared at the fridge, lookin' for somethin’ to eat,
But it’s just last week’s pizza, no gourmet treat.
Thought 'bout a date, someone rubbin’ my back,
But let’s face it, man, that ship has packed.
Swallowed more pills, prayin' they’d help,
But all they did was make me talk to myself.
Dog’s lookin' at me like, “Dude, get a grip,”
While I’m wonderin' how my life took this dip.

But all I got is my dog, and his breath that stinks.
