    Nice video. What's the metal rod that comes with it that has a diamond shaped bend on one side?

    Very impressed, I have the original 4x8 Cnc Routerparts version does awesome on cabinet boxes but wouldn’t attempt to do mdf doors . Moving forward I will probably purchase a commercial 5x10 atc. I currently do more parts for local manufacturers and signs than cabinets but tool changer is a must on next one for me, and no time for a diy project. Keep up the great work doors look amazing.

    did you use vacuum table for this?

    Awesome! We cut doors on our CR Onsrud and a full sheet of doors usually takes about 40 mins. And even with really good dust collection there is still a ton of dust after.

      I doubt the slow speed has anything to do with the CNC. Adjust your speed settings on your CAD program and watch it get down to work.

    Nice! Is that much dust normal with your dust collection system?

      My dust boot needs to be replaced. I have a 3 3/4" flattening bit that tore of the front of the brush and lets dust escape. The Oneida Supercell actually pulls really good as long as the filter is clean, I have to take it off and blow it out occasionally. It's got a pretty small filter though, kind of wish I had went with a unit with a bigger filter. On the other hand, I didn't have to worry about ducting due to the unit being High pressure unlike most dust collectors.

    Thanks for posting the video. How's the log lift working for you?

    • @reignworkswoodworking5152
      @reignworkswoodworking5152 2 роки тому

      The log lift works ok. I think i need to swap sides with the digs the. I put it together like the manual said, but the logs get caught on the dogs half the time. Other than that, it works fine

      @@reignworkswoodworking5152 I think you'll like it better set up the other way. The logs can still get stuck, happens less often though especially if you go slow and steady. There's a couple good modifications you can make for the lifter as well, look up Ozark Sawmill Services on here and you'll see a good solution Dave helped him with.

      Desert Hobo, thanks for noting the modification. Basically, it is a 2x6 (I recommend treated lumber so it will last longer) with a notch for the track bolted to the inside of the channel that drops down and forms a bridge when the log rolls onto the frame. It is just high enough for the log to clear the stops. Here's a link. You can see the modification at 6:30 in the video. ua-cam.com/video/dCt7P_NE8A8/v-deo.html

    Hydraulic pump should've been made to run electrical

      I think there is an electric option using a deep cycle battery and an alternator. I believe the mill can also be equipped with an electric motor.

    I'm trying to assemble my hd36v2 and having a Terrible time getting the bed true and level. How did the assembly for you go? Do you have any pointers?

      I used a place that had been packed down for years (red clay), then I had some milled 4x6 beams that I cut to be wider than feet to spread loads out, and the thin metal shim stock to get it exactly level, and in 2 years I've had to relevel 1 time I check level prior to every use, if your getting flustered walk away come back with fresh eyes, find a sawyer close that is willing to help, or a good contractor thats good at leveling

    That's awesome. Any issues with the power feed? How was the install?

    • @reignworkswoodworking5152
      @reignworkswoodworking5152 2 роки тому

      Im sorry, I just noticed some people actually watched the video lol. So initially I didn't have any trouble, it works great. Install was really easy as well. It's just a chain and motor. The controller hooks on where you push the gas in. It took maybe an extra 30min-hour to get everything on and running. BUT, I did run into an issue with the power up/down about a month ago. It kept blowing fuses and acted underpowered all the time with the wireless remote. The regular power up/down box seemed to have more power. Using the same motor. It eventually started blowing fuses, until it messed up the circuit board on the reciever. I had to send it in for repair. Since i got my hd38 early, they adjusted some parts that the cable wraps around making it have less of a taper, so it doesnt put as much strain on the motor. Im supposed to be getting the wireless remote and control box back tomorrow.

      Good deal, thanks for replying. I'm glad everything's going in a good direction. Did you have to send the whole mill back for repairs/upgrades or just the bad parts?

    Nice, nice, very nice. However, you can make it better. Just google Woodprix and learn how to do it easily.
