It's good to see WinRAR alive and well :)
If only this channel was, eh? I've got two videos shot, but still awaiting the edit
Than you for the help ,the is awesome
Don’t call him a motherfucker
But i not only disables accidents Achievements but it also looks incredibly stupid, lol.
Ack, mate was just looking for a cigarette and you just killed him, damn, cant get shit on the coasts of London
What can I say, it's pretty dodgy down by the Thames!
@@dannyvalz plenty a cigarettes atleast, btw, you should TOTALLY make gaming videos on HL2 VR, trust I'd definitely watch it
@@malachisuniverse7712 Thanks, I'll bear that in mind. The channel isn't dead, and I have plenty of ideas, but personal life stuff means I have less time than I used to do to UA-cam things :(
I'm a 60-year-old newbie, a great video and nice hair. I want a newbie way of just being able to switch from one of my webcams to other, do you have a video on this. ps i have subscribed, one more and you are at 1000 congratulations, I bet you are buzzin? I am guessing I could just use studio mode?
WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU
The nested scene feature is, by far, one of OBS Studio's built-in features I (ab)use the hell out of. Not only does it make prefabricated scene elements easy to make, if you stream on multiple services but not (necessarily) at the same time, I use a combination of nested scenes and Exeldro's Source Toggler Lua script to create a "conduit" scene, which allows me to select only one of a number of scenes in that conduit scene, e.g. a source for Twitch dynamic overlays, one for UA-cam, and even one that has elements of both when I'm multistreaming/simulcasting. When I used to build up the stream on the same computer I'm gaming on, I would use one scene to capture my game at full size, then another to precisely insert it into where I need it to go, including that "capture" scene. That saves me from having to resize it to fit the window since it's always at full size. I had several of these "source" scenes, which can include game capture, audio capture as well as a UA-cam (using the YTCP page (UA-cam Control Panel, github.com/starfishpatkhoo/ytcp, by way of an OBS panel and a browser source) and web browser (using OBS's browser source). I could (and would) use Source Toggler (again) to select which source I'm capturing to select what I'm featuring for a given scene. I now do this on its own computer, so now those are NDI scenes which come from wherever on my network. In my opinion, if anyone could take anything from this, it would be the Nested Scenes one. This is, hands-down, one of the most, if not THE most, important OBS features people should learn about.
I have stream delay disabled and there is still a 10-15 second delay
El verdadero poder del nistas
The best use case for stream delay people dont seem to talk about at all is better quality and less resource heavy Because its has longer to render everything
Ridiculously Handsome, indeed. Thanks!
The nested scenes is useful, but the downstream keyed plugin is even more powerful!
Downstream keyer is great! This video was meant to focus on things that didn't require third-party stuff. Hidden OBS gems, etc :)
Dude thanks so much, the mic docking is so welcoming. You picked up a sub, hope to see some new videos soon
Thanks. Despite the lack of content, the channel isn't dead! I was actually writing script just yesterday for an upcoming video, so stay tuned :)
@@dannyvalz You are well spoken, easy to follow, looking forward to new content.
Hello there, I have been streaming for just about 4 years now, and right up until probably 3 weeks ago I was using OBS only to accomplish the broadcasting to service part of my stream everything else I was doing with a separate program like scene control and source control and all that stuff so I was just mirroring that output into OBS and then out putting the whole thing. That worked very well for me, however my main streaming rig went BSOD 3 weeks ago and I have been having a bit of a time getting it fixed so in the meantime I was using a backup rig and I didn't really want to deal with setting up my old program that was dealing with all the sources and stuff so I decided to use OBS's internals for the first time. Well it wasn't too completely difficult to set up there are certainly things that I didn't know and despite using OBS for four years and completely brand new to like scene control for example, or transitions. I know that seems super simple and they probably are but to me they were brand new and a bit confusing. This video has been quite helpful. Thank you very much for that. I'm going to watch your ultimate OBS settings guide that you mentioned in this video right now to see if there's any other information in there that I might find conducive to my situation Thank you very much again
I appreciate that the point of your video was truly trying to be helpful. Thank you
You're dope homie. Please keep it coming.
Its better without the arachnaphobia mode, its the only challenging aspect of the game. Wish they made them harder and respawned
I play without it on, but Twitch chat told me to check it out, and I'm glad I did 😅
Nice to see another UK based streamer. Thanks for the great video
Great video ! Simple and straight to the point, thanks. It resolved a long time frustration about handling canvas I had.
I activated the caption experimental feature . set it on etc. but where am I see the supposed caption on screen because I dont see a thing. Do we have to activate other things. ? why not show us how it works instead of just the settings ? The other caption options there are as plugins also do not work.
How can we run multiple synchronous pre recorded videos on a channel? How about multiple channels?
51M Subscribers
A man's gotta have ambitions 😂
OBS is free, and that’s what’s great about it, but it is not, a serious broadcast app, no panning of the whole screen, like Xsplit, no real lower thirds, no green screen, not integrated with desktop to share screen like Zoom, it is very slow, unless you have a super fast machine, if Xsplit would be available for Mac, I would switch in an instant.
one of the GREATEST obs videos i have EVEN SEEN mate! GREAT JOB !!! It helped a lot
You should make a video where you look at discord servers and give tips on improving them.
Re: The Self-Promo Channel - The main reason I have one in my server is to allow me to find/support the streams of my community members more quickly/easily than going through my page or notis on Twitch. Sometimes I only have a few moments to pop in and check-in/show support, so being able to go to the channel in my discord server allows me to make the most efficient use of my time in that regard because I can click their link quickly. I love showing support as much as I can, and the content promotion channel allows me to do so - and helps to keep me aware of special events community members have posted as well since I can't always keep up with their servers either. However, as you said, I do not utilize or post my stream links in the channels of other servers. I do agree with a lot of your comments about it from a general perspective, though.
talk slow
It's something I need to work on, for sure :(
Remove the boring intro explaining the title of the video to get more views. Lots of ppl leave in those intros
Thanks for the tip. So far, my metrics show fairly good retention on the intros, and I provide chapters for anyone who wants to skip bits and pieces.
Thanks for the video. Just getting started learning OBS for our upcoming podcast setup at motophotoadventures. Cheers, sub'd.
Happy to help! :)
I love that you have 51M on the subs banner… ya cheeky genius… 😂😂😂
Call it aspirational! 😉
Hi Danny I was able to most of your videos on OBS and I found them the most detailed and informative videos out on UA-cam. Thank you for making such a wonderful content. One question. Is there a way in OBS (not a third party) that help us create a vertical video simultaneously? If there is one it is a God sent and please let us know!!
Thank you so much! More content is coming soon (hopefully, this month) but I've been working on a side-project, so I've had less time to do UA-cam stuff. In OBS you can set the canvas to be a vertical resolution if you like, but that won't allow you to stream and record in both portrait and landscape simultaneously. There are a couple of ways around this though: 1. Launch up a second instance of OBS, and set the canvas of the second instance to be portrait/landscape as needed 2. AITUM! Aitum is a fantastic bit of software that has loads of functionality to control OBS in different ways, and they also do a vertical plugin that's absolutely free. I know you say non-third-party, but the plugin is super lightweight and easy to configure, and you don't need the full Aitum software to use it. I have some personal friends who work on it, and I can tell you from experience, both Aitum and their vertical plugin are amazing, and so is the level of support they provide. I hope this helps! Once again, thank you for your kind words - more videos coming soon :)

Replied on another comment of yours, but posting it here for visibility too, in case it helps others. For MKV imports in adobe premiere, I just rename the file to AVI and works no problem. Any idea why that is?
Oh No!! I made a duplicate profile, then all the changes I made to the duplicate also affected my original profile. I did it to test some premade scene collections, hoping it would merge my profile sources with the new scenes, but it didn't . Everything is default now and I have to rebuild from scratch, which really really sucks. I had so many custom sources and filters, no to mention all of the settings I have to dial in again. Take this as a warning if you are making a duplicate scene without a backup. 🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂
Oof, that hurts hard! One of my upcoming videos is about backing up regularly. It's so worthwhile, but a lot of people don't consider it.
As many times as I've had to rebuild from scratch, you would think I would get it through my head. And I don't make it easy on myself. I have all kinds of plugins and scripts. I'm looking forward to that video!@@dannyvalz
Very useful. Thanks!
Hi dannyvalz, I was analyzing your UA-cam channel (dannyvalz) and are you struggling with subscribers and video views for monetization? Later I researched your channel and I saw your video SEO score is (0% Out of 100). Your video found that SEO optimization is not done in your videos due to which your videos are not going to your targeted people, your videos are getting fewer views and channel subscribers are getting fewer.

If you have not already can you cover in more detail the multi-screen. My laptop LCD screen took a dive and now I only have a 33" Samsung monitor for me to use.
Thanks i really needing these tips
Slowly losing my mind with Streamlabs at the moment - have you any idea on how to resize themes on there? I'm really struggling to do so :(
Thank you very much.
Really good video. BTW can you also make how to read or correctly use the safe area margins in obs. Like the correct way to set an overlay, text safe area, action safe area etc. What to avoid and all.
This video is way more helpful than I expected! Stream delay is quite normal for competitive streamers, some of them would even use images to cover up the minimap. When it comes to gaming stream, a microphone might be a crucial device for the streamer, I wonder if you would like to review our gaming mic? It's called Ampligame AM8T.
very very useful. thank you for teaching me sir. 🙂🎈❤👍
Extremely useful video. Keep em coming! Subbed.
Helpful, thanks!
Hello, very good indeed. I have a question, URL for discord - I don't know where to copy it. And one more thing, I have a PLAY scene and a TALK scene. If I have the camera activated in PLAY and I switch the scene to TALK, the camera in TALK does not work. Can you please advise me? Thank you for answer
