I don't like this version. Don't like it at all.

There are very few things in this world that can make me forget about it, but when I watch this recording the rest of the world and the things that are happening around me just disappear and I am entirely bathed in the exquisite marriage of you and this song. There is not other person on the planet that can bring this emotion to me. Thank you for singing this. It is your song.

This song deserves much, much more coverage and interpretation by different artists; Cohen's own simple version is the most powerful, Sharon Robinson's version of her own work is spellbindingly haunting, especially if you are lucky enough to hear her in concert. This version is really quite different, it is a very respectable interpretation that adds drama and climax. I like it a lot. Thankyou. (On an unconnected note can I recommend the creation someone has put together on UA-cam of Leonard Cohen and Lana del Ray singing "Chelsea Hotel")
