Horton Springs
Well, this day did NOT go as planned. We slept through our alarm and Mary didn’t have breakfast before the trip north to Payson. So to avoid hiking with a hungry monster we cut the hike short and just spent some time in a nice little secluded spot in the water.

We decided to venture to a new trail. We landed at Buffalo Ridge Park, which is right across the highway from Eric’s favorite hike, Scarlett Canyon. We found a little “rock house” that someone had put together and Eric went off trail to reach the peak of course.

The Plant Stand & Pinnacle "Peak"

Took mom to The Plant Stand in South Phoenix before she had to fly back home. Grabbed some coffees and explored the ENORMOUS nursery. Then I decided to take a solo hike to Pinnacle “Peak”. You don’t actually get to go to the top of the peak which was disappointing, but still a decent hike nonetheless.

@@ericnmary definately- leaving Goodyear at about 6am to account for the almost 3-4 hour commute- 90m to CV- then another maybe 90 combined to the turn off and then PL#2- does that sound about right? went to bull pen twice last month so basic familiarity w roads etc up there

Yeah I'm not sure if I'd trust the hospital or doctors in regards to their Covid tests. They are liable to call anything covid these days & I believe false positives are real & been ignored.
