Music & comedy- in that order. Were these people "old school" or just represent the skills that seem to have vanished in pop music today?
No "auto-tune" or electronic tricks existed nor were needed for these super talents.
My favorites by far are Andy Williams and Tony Bennett- two very different singers with very different vocal skills.
I listen to them from a musicians' point of view- even when the material is marginal- I focus on the limitless vocal skills of both of these people.
Instrumentally- Doc Severensen Buddy Rich, Maynard Fergusen-all with limitless abilities. In comedy, silly works for me. Letterman, Conan , SNL, SCTV and ANYTHING Mel Brooks makes me laugh
.Let me address the "counting numbers" that are on many of the videos. These rare videos are of various quality- some very good and many poor. The onscreen timing numbers are embedded in the videos- nobody likes them but there is no way to remove them.
I hope you enjoy the best of the best- numbers and all!

Andy Williams - Sing the Songs medley
I always know when richard Connolly puts.Andy on here its always good i love ths thanks Richard ❤
I never understood why this song was never released in the US in the 1970s. It was very hard to find.
Conan looks like Blanka from Street Fighter
Love he does the brilliant open stanza singers normally cut? Genius!
Andy was the best. The consummate professional.
What the world needs is Andy Williams now xx❤
Andy is divine.
Love their voices ❤🎉❤❤❤🎉
Beautiful human being R i p andy 🙏♥️
1:30.5 ... Oi!
SEMPRE
The shadow of your smile When you are gone Will color all my dreams And light the dawn Look into my eyes My love and see All the lovely things You are to me Our wistful little star Was far too high A teardrop kissed your lips And so did I Now when I remember spring All the joy that love can bring I will be remembering The shadow of your smile Now when I remember spring All the joy that love can bring I will be remembering The shadow of your smile
RIP Jack. Thanks for being part of my childhood
My legend, that is Andy Williams 😊
I have been watching this video every day for the last couple of weeks and I laugh every time so hard. I swear it is one of the best bits on UA-cam. The way "Perry's" arm hangs down while he's singing "Celebrate" gets me every time.
Her manager and producer was very picky who she record with
What a great version. Loved the intro and falling into the main verse. So beautiful. when he was on he was really on. I like his lyrical side. Great
I wish that someone could clean up the audio on all of Andy's song selections on his show that he never recorded and release it on CD.
I love how Eugene Levy and Rick Moranis are super-casual about being two of the funniest guys on earth.
omg.....
Esto es inmortal Tony.
I love Steve and Eydie version better. Steve and Eydie and Andy worked together on the Steve Allen show in the 1950's. Steve just passed away in March.
He gave us soooo much
Written by Henry Mancini & Johnny Mercer.
Great arrangement and performance
I've seen this clip probably 20 times. Still. Makes me laugh
A great man and singer...the best voice in the business in my view.
admiration...
Love this Rendition, One and Only
I only wanted Andy Williams.
Ella and a standard go together like peanut butter and jelly. Just the pinnacle of how wonderful music could be in the last century. This century really needs to catch up!
I absolutely love this song of Tony Bennett 🎉and He can absolutely sing an love 💕 song
Fantastic thank you Richard Connolly ❤
You're very welcome
Nobody better
EXCELLENT!!!
It's Frankie Valli!
Great Cincinnati boy.
The most beautiful song ever
BRILLIANT! 😂😂🤣😂😄
Gran interpretacion un cantante romantico natural de epoca vigente por fortuna
There is a story behind this particular performance. The airline lost Tony’s luggage, which among other things have the printed music in it for the Tonight Show band. The orchestration was laid out, but it never got to the show in time. An emergency Tommy Newsom of the Tonight Show band wrote out, the orchestration that is performed on this video. It took him three hours to write the arrangement. So in case you’re not aware of what that means, it is simply everything the orchestra is playing behind. Tony Bennett was conceived by Tommy Newsom. We’re talking about the finest musicians in the world with Doc Severinsen being the icing on that cake. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Marvelous. Docs accompanying is superb as well.❤
SCTV hilarious!
All delivery and no real felt engagement. Too self conscious and self enamored of her delivery not the message. The song is inappropriate for a female. so a guy has ruby lips. It's another case of a quick bebop tune slowed down with lugbubrious lyrics pasted on.
I remember this lol!!!!!!!!
JLT; All I have left is the Shadow of Your Smile. Always have loved you. RIP Tony.
The dancers!
A fabulous version. Both Andy Williams and Elvis sang this song beautifully.
Spectacular.
Saw this great man twice at Southend pavilion in the twilight of his life, still the best
Yeah Gary. He was special Thanks for your comment I have posted much more of Andy ‘s performances Enjoy them
Absolutely precious ❤️
